The Doctors at Trover Powderly are employees of Trover Health Care. Their goal is to make money for Trover even if it means MCH closes. They have ZERO concern what happens to MCH. As matter of fact closing MCH would make them more money. WHAT?!!!! You're telling me that the employees of Trover are trying to make Trover money. Turning a profit to keep your business open is something that MCH should try for once. Apparently you skipped the lesson on capitalism in school.

No, what he's saying is, if you want the hospital in Madisonville to prosper at the expense of MCH to the point that MCH closes the doors...keep giving your business to the Muhl Medical Center Dr's that sold out our community.

A man fell down some steps and busted his head bad and was pouring blood and somebody had to drive him there because of no phone to call 911 and it took the people at the hospital 8 min to even go out to the car to get him and he already bled to death. Has anybody else heard this? Not true. But the ER did treat 238 patients from 5/25 to 5/29. Most were on Medicaid and the others will never pay their bills.

You wanna fix the health care system, start turning away the junkies that use the ER 25 times in a year that are on Medicaid w/ repeated "pain" issues. That's a good start.

I would say let "DrKilljoy" speak for himself but that's a failure, so I'll address you. No one should or ever does go to a hospital to see a business fail or see another business prosper. People go to a hospital because they are sick and they chose that hospital for many factors that include, location, wait time, specialization, doctor and equipment availability, insurance, and most importantly...RATINGS. People vote with their feet so if the clinic does better its for those reasons. Stop whining.

There are no doctors that have offices at MCH so your point is not valid. If the Muhl Med Cntr was a hospital, then you would have a valid point.

WTF are you talking about? yes there are doctors at MCH that have offices!!! Would you like me to name them? Browning, Knoepfler, Wang, Sutton, Conatser, the new one they just introduced, not to mention the PA's that have offices and the PA's ARE employed by the hospital.

Good point but their are no PA's employed by MCH. MCH does employee Newman who's a NP. The new Dr. is Holt. Both he and Newman are at the Central City Clinic.

The board has largly been the same for several years or decades. I dont see you talking about them. Before you start making pronouncements, would you please show proof the CEO is a republican. If not, shut your mouth. Third, "Think like a good democrat"? Let me try: 1. Complain that a company that is in bad financial shape should pay their workers more. That will make your revenue problems better. 2. Instead of focusing on why the business is failing, lets blame the 100k, that you claim is in excess, that one person is making. Divide that 100k amoung the MCH employees. Thats roughly $15.00 a month. Yep, that will save you and the business. 3. Blame someone else...always blame someone else. Make sure that someone makes more money than you. Truth is MCH has been loosing for a while now for many reasons...some can be helped some are natural market forces. The rest of the business world has had to cut to the bone in the last 5 years to stay afloat. The reason everyone hasn't experienced this is because 50% of you work for the government in some form, and we know they aren't cutting anywhere. I personally know several MCH employees who set for hours without work to do...texting and making personal calls. Layoffs and furlows are long overdue it would seem. It would seem a "good democrat" or maybe just "Concerned in Muhlenberg" would keep everyone on a sinking ship, hoping that it would eventually float one day. How about thisfor an answer: 1. they spend exhuberant amounts of money on doctors who just up and leave them high and dry for millions. 2. They make hospitalists positions for prominent members of Greenville societies elite. 3. I thought the hospital only employed roughtly 250 staff so your math is off, would be more like 400-450 per employee per month not counting those making over 100K. 4.I don't know what planet you've been on but it's always been the wealthiest 1% controlling what gets done and how it gets done around here. And they ALWAYS try to keep the rest of us in our place. Look at whose kids who always get the local scholarships and awards you never see them going to any kid from a poor family.

How about I didn't ask a question, so I don't know what you are answering. But, to your points: 1. Who are you to say that the doctors are being paid exuberant amounts of money? Do you have the pay scale for each specialization and have you compared it to a state/nationwide list? It takes 10-12 years for a doctor to pay off their medical school debt and then the amount for starting their practice. When you start working as a hospital administrator you can make those decisions. 2. I know for a fact that they pretty much have to beg doctors to come here and practice. Given that, people that are originally from this county are more likely to return. Where are all these non-"greenville societies elite" doctors that are begging to work at MCH. 3. Here is a quick 3rd grade math lesson. From our own Muhlenberg Alliance for Progress website "MCH is the second largest employer in the county with over 400 personnel and 70 staff physicians" So over lets say 500 roughly. You say the CEO gets paid 100k too much per year.$100,000 per year divided by 500 employees =$200.00 per year. A year has 12 months, so,$200.00 divided by 12 months =$16.60 dollars per month if you want to be exact. 4. I dont disagree that the 1% of the people who are the county elected officials control this county. Even their family and friends who they create this board and that board for. The only way to change that is to raise hell to the fiscal court, magistrate, board members, local papers. Put your money where your mouth is.

Sorry, I didn't know I had to be so specific as to put there are no Family Practice doctors that have offices at MCH in which they see patients like at the Muhl Med Cntr. I figured you would be smart enough to understand what I meant; sorry for the mistake, it was my fault. The 3 Family Practice doctors that MCH employee have offices at locations outside of the hospital. So as I stated before, your point was not valid.

Maybe if our elected officials would spend some time and money investing in something other than beautification projects we might actually have a chance to save our hospital. Our population growth is non existent. If it continues on the present downhill spiral nothing is going to remain here.

To be tested or admitted to MCH a doctor is the ONLY person that can make that happen. The Trover Doctors will not use MCH for either purpose. Stop using the Trover Doctors and the issue is solved instantly.
