Well I am voting for Brent. He is a good man and a good representative. How long his family members have had various offices matters not in the least. I doubt if you will find a better person to take his place. Any father who does not attempt to help his son is not much of a father. I would think it odd if he did not try to help his son.
Yes any father would help his child. Brent used his position as a State Rep. to gain his son's freedom. Any way you spin it that is wrong. He was elected to serve the people and he has done good things for this area. The office to which he was elected is not for him to serve himself. He should be thankful his opponent has not made this a public issue. His son committed a crime and should pay like anyone else who was convicted. Brent may survive and be elected again but his abuse of his position has left a bad taste with many voters. As always time will tell.

He is a lawyer and I am sure he has helped put many other drunk drivers in jail than may not have killed anyone!!! Son or not, he should pay for his crimes.

He just took whatever measure he could to get his son out of the pen. He had access to different tools that the rest of us don't. If it were a coal miner maybe he could just blow a hole in the prison wall and I can't find fault in a father for helping his son. Wonder what motivated the man that signed the pardon it wasn't his son. I think it was thoughtful to come to the aid of a poor politician. Oh well, I think I'll just vote for Prunty anyway!

I think Brent is a Good man and Doing all he can to represent us here in the district. And yes it was a Tragedy with the lady that died. But Who would not do the best that they could for there child.
Are you crazy? Doing what's right for your child and doing what's just plain right is two different things. All he did for his murdering son was teach him that he could get away if it. Even while locked up Yonts was pulling the strings by sending that killer where he wanted to go and by giving him time off for nothing.

A damn republican govenor reduced Harrisons yonts sentence. If you wanna raise hell, raise hell towards Ernie Fletcher. Brent yonts is a democrat, He made no deals with Fletcher, Brent Yonts didn't reduce his sons sentence.

Few years ago westvaco and forestry division tried pass some laws on loggers that would put all small loggers out business or force them to deal strictly with westvaco. Bunch us loggers went to Frankfort, Brent listened to us and stopped them. Brent is for the people. I'm not saying what he did for his son was rite or ethical but are y'all saying if it was your kid and if you could that you wouldn't do same? Be honest with yourself even if you Aren't on here. It's hard to say unless you been there. Brent is good man. All politicians cover for there families

You can say what you want -opinions are like a$$holes but Brent Yonts is dirty. Again I say helping your son would have been AA meetings. What Brent did was abuse his power and set a murderer on the street. Please remember good ole Harrison drug this woman to a ditch, covered her with leaves and left her to die while he went home and slept. She died in a ditch like a filthy animal. How "good" would you feel Brent and his son were if this had been your mother?

He ran as a Republican all those years and lost. Switched to Democrat and the Zombie lever pullers elected him just because he switched over.
