Southwestern Advantage Door to Door

Anyone else have a door to door salesman/woman try to sell you educational books? A young lady showed up at my door today trying to sell Southwestern Advantage books. Said she was from FL and staying with a host family in Whitesville. She knew all about me and my neighbors, people I worked with, family, etc. My husband wasn't home so I said she could call and discuss it with him but she said she couldn't because she has Sprint phone service. Why would that matter? After doing some research I have found numerous complaints ranging from books never being shipped to Southwestern charging monthly fees to people's bank accounts. Before you buy, do some research. Also, try calling their business number that is provided to cancel and see if you can get anyone to answer. Finally, just search eBay to see how cheap you can get the books there, you'll save 25%-75%.

Yes she came to our house yesterday. She knew names of co workers, friends, etc. we fell for it, but after researching it more last night I went to the bank today to stop payment on the check I wrote her. Then to top it all off she happens to be from the same small town in Florida we just returned from last week on vacation. Not a popular touristy place. Very creepy!

She said her name was Gwendy and she said she was from Gainsville, FL. From the names of the people she said she has sold to, it sounds like she is visiting all of Muhlenberg county. However, if you look up the company, you will see they sell all over the USA. They just cycle back through every so many years. She kept throwing out names of all these people I know, and saying how they are singing the praises of the books and their cheap price. She's probably telling others I said those things also even though I didn't buy anything. Also, just because all my friends supposedly drank the Kool-Aid, doesn't mean I'm going to.

She'll get a rude surprise if she comes to my house. I don't answer the door, for anyone.
