I hope they find out who's doing this and send them off for awhile. This is crazy and they need their butts busted. Can't blame it all on the kids, maybe the parents need a Lil patenting.

Look...Its not one person doing this. Two different kids from each of the high schools made the last threats. Whoever did this is some middle schooler wanting attention. These kids are that..just kids being copy cats. Unfortunately each kid is being charged with a felon which will stick with them for the rest of their life...which means they will most likely not be able to get a decent job which pretty much guarantees them to either be on a government check or in the prison system which means we will be paying for it for a long time. Plenty of community service and a juvenile program is all they need not a felony. These are non-violent crimes and should be treated as such.

I agree with most of what you said. But when you are charged as juvenile, your records are sealed. So It wont haunt them forever. The only one that it will stay with is the 18yo. They need to find out why they did this and not just throw them to the judicial system

We are out a bunch of money each time this is done. Maybe the parent needs to pay for every cop, fireman, and everyone else there. They are gonna make examples of these kids and what could happen if they make a bomb threat. Parents need to be talking and teaching their kid(s) right from wrong. My kids know better. You know why? Cause I've taught them better and also I let them know what could happen

it shouldn't make a difference that they are just kids they need punished so maybe this stupid stuff comes to a stop! Wether or not it was a real bomb or not it scares everyone that's what is wrong with kids now days they know nothing is going to be done to them. The worst thing that every happened to our school system was when they took the paddle out bring it back and show them they aren't boss and maybe this foolish stuff would stop.

You are saying that it doesn't matter that these are children making empty threats? That is ridiculous. Do you have children? Should everything they do be take seriously. I guess if you kid points his finger like a gun he should be arrested for threat of violence? Yes, kids need more discipline and direction from home. Fanatical parents like yourself are the reason stricter discipline was taken out of school, because you didn't want a teacher putting their hands on your kid. Slapping a felony on a middle schooler means nothing to them until they are grown adults. You want to put these kids into the system so we pay for them the rest of their lives? Go ahead.

Who ever did this needs to be punished. Children, as part of their public schooling and at home, must learn there are consequences for bad acts. The person that did this did a bad act but I can't say it was a mean act and mean is what I can't stand. Punish this person to make them regret and to discourage the next similar act. It was disruptive but no more so than a drill (still wrong, the school needs to plan the drills). As for as the cops and fireman I would hate for them to be on a wild goose chase instead of catching a crook or putting out a fire but they probably made the same at the school as at the city building. When you have cases of malicious crimes and light punishment I hate to ruin a child's life over a prank. There for sure needs to be punishment but there needs to be a lot of thought first.

I disagree with you! Having gone throw a bomb threat myself when I was in 7th grade! It is no where near the same thing as a fire drill, bus evacuation drill etc.! You have no idea the terror this kind of thing does to a child! These students that are doing this needs to be punished to the fullest! They better be thankful that they are children and can't be punished as adults!

I'm sure the cops/firemen are ALREADY getting paid AND this is their job. Plus they enjoy the hell out of it!!!

I don't know who is more stupid, the person that calls in the bomb threat or the person that answers the phone. Just hangup the phone next time and say nothing about it. Problem solved. There is not and never will be a bomb.

Theres a board meeting tonight.show up and voice your concerns about how our school system handles these bomb threats.i think the kids should be sent home when this happens. We don't know if the threat is real or not at the time.so instead of making our kids stand in the cold or be taken to another school, getting a late lunch & making us parents worry if our kids are safe or not LETS TELL THEM TO SEND OUR KIDS HOME WHEN THERES A BOMB THREAT.

well I guess in your eyes it's ok but I'm all for the paddle maybe if they get their ass busted instead of its ok honey your just a kid maybe there wouldn't of been another bomb threat again today. The way I see it if its kids in middle school and in high school then they should know better and understand that this is very serious

first off I blame the parents thats whats wrong with this world people have babys awww so cute but when they get to be teens they let them run around and do whatever they want. Me as a parent i watch my kids 24/7 even when they dont know. i have 3 one 22 one 15 and one 14. my 22 yr old i have chased him followed him and drove him crazy but u know what not long ago he thanked me for stalking him it kept him out of trouble i even do back pack checks when they least expect it.When i find something i punish them by taking things from them and making them read the Bible, they always say how did u know i tell them i know everything about them and thats the way it should be if more people were like me this stuff would stop so yes i blame the parents too...As for Dale Todd i voted for him but i will never do that again i was very disappointed in him today. He could have came out and spoke to the parents instead he send cops out to tell us we cant get our kids excuse me who had these kids i did. Were did our rights go as parents? yes the kids that is doing this should be punished would u rather pay for the in government checks or would u rather be making funeral arrangements?yes its sad that kids maybe getting sent to jail for this and there life is ruined but this has to stop
