Anyone here work at Wilbert? I do. Have to find a better job. Low pay and too many hours. Does anyone know of any factories hiring without going through a temp agency?

I need to get a job even if the pay is low, just so I can get some rest. LOL Retirement comes with way too many chores like clearing bushes for making a day time chicken run, mowing grass, laundry, house cleaning, cooking, ad infinitum.... Maybe if I had a job I could earn enough so as to take applications for a wife... just kidding.....

My better half used to say he had to go back to work to get some rest!! Whenever vacation time came around we'd hit it pretty hard with different projects, trips, etc. lol.

Uh, huh, thinking about wife applications? Now, AW, that'll get ya into trouble with Sweet Polly for sure. JK . Lol

Just finished up a short "Weekend Adventure" with the g'kids. Indoor water park, a train ride and a stop at a junk/antique shop. They rated it a 10 on a 1-10 scale, so I did good! They are wanting to go through some caves next. We'll see. Thought about an Amtrak train trip but, jeez, those things aren't very fast. A 200 mile trip takes about 5 hours and I don't think I'd survive the circus I'd be taking with me. Lol . Everyday we pray the JOY prayer. You know, Jesus first, Others second and Yourself last. Well, they've noticed I always make mine "help me make it through the day!" So , I just would have to use that prayer for that train trip!! Lol

It is an area set aside for chickens to run and play in and bask in the sunlight outside of the normal chicken house and without being in any danger from attacking varmits.

Oh, Sweet Polly knows that I have lived alone now for 11 years and not needed a wife including her and I don't think she has any interest in doing my laundry LOL

I don't post much, but I always read this forum. Somehow I have to catch up often. You're blessed to have grandchildren and I pray God brings some my way in his good time. I've been doing long awaited Spring cleaning today, great to find that floor boards need replaced.! Geesh...sometimes I wish I had remained a tenant! Have a great evening. Blessings :)

Okay,,, that's kinda what I've got gor my 4 ladies. except I have 3 -- 6'high, 8' long wire panels and 2---6'high, 4'long wire panels--one with a gate.. I bought it off a neighbor for $50. It's attached to the chicken house and every morning I open the chicken house door and they can run freely in the pen. Then sometimes I open the gate and they run in the yard. At night they are on the roost in the chicken house, door shut and pen gate latched. The dog kinda keeps varmints away( I think). Lol

I have a 20' by 20' building with poles or rafters for the 40 chickens and it is plenty for them to roost on at night. But daytime free ranging is difficult to know who is out and who is in or where? LOL I am building another 20' by 20' run behind the building using 4' high wire double stacking it to be at least 6' tall. A small weighted passage door will allow them to go in and out of the day time run area and I will control it with a rope passing through the rafters to the front of the building. I can lift the passage in the mornings and release the rope at night to allow the weight to lower it.(or at least that is my plan) lol

It sounds as if you've got a nice set up for the chickens. They will enjoy the extra space and will pick it to the bare ground soon. Lol The neighbors told me today that they are losing one a night from some-as yet unidentified- varmint. They have quite a few and I can't say they put them all up at night. The victim is being taken over to the neighbors and the remains are found of a morning . So the hunt is on. Now I dabble with a couple chickens, feed the fish and have the property fenced in for some cows which I don't own but these neighbors win all kinds of farmer awards so they will solve their mystery soon
