It's a shame at what lengths the republicans will go to protect the rich. President Obama wants to raise the taxes on the rich from 35% to 39% This will be done automatically on Jan the 1st. but the president want to continue the tax breaks for the middle class. The republican house will not vote for this tax relief for the middle class unless our president continues the tax breaks for the rich. Let's all remember this when we enter the voting booth when mitch McConnell wants our vote in a couple years. President Obama won the election by a landslide, on the premise that the tax rate would go up on the rich. America has spoken in a form of a mandate, why can't the republican house get it?

Who woke the troll up? Always trying to start crap. Go back watch the slugs on MSNBC. Just to let you in on a secret 3% is not a landslide. Let's hope it gets resolved but it not all onesided.

Electorial votes, President Obama 321- Romney 208, also won the popular vote by 3 million votes. I will say it again President Obama won the election by a landslide. The mandate was that president Obama wanted to raise the tax rate on the 2% that controls 99% of the wealth. This was president Obama's #1 issue, why can't the republicans get it? I guess they don't ever want to win another election. To be honest I don't believe the rich would really mind paying a few more taxes. Warren Buffett, the richest man in america says he would be proud to do more, and he thinks the republicans should side with president Obama on this tax increase for the rich.

For once I wish the republicans in Washington would try to work with this president for the good of our nation. They are against everything he try's to do. The republicans wants president Obama to attack social security, medicade, college loans and any thing else that helps middle class america. When the notion of the richest people in the world paying a few more taxes, the republicans go bisruck. Now the true colors of our republican house is starting to shine ever so brightly to all americans. I for one, knew this all along. This is why I pulled the straight democrat ticket, and this is why I will do in the mitch McConnell race.

Dufus can't you understand some people are against the presidents agenda because it is nothing but socialism. No you don't understand because you cannot be reasoned with. There have always been rich people and some are republicans and some are democrats some are good decent people and some are not. The Robin Hood method will not work. It takes compromise on both sides.

So you don't think the rich should not pay their fair of tax. The middle class should do it all. Please explain how that is a compromise. When 2% of our citizens controls 99% of our wealth, I believe they can help out a little. You tell me what a compromise the republicans wants, All I hear is how they can help the republican billionaires from paying their fair share of tax. The republicans had rather cut social security, medicare, unemployment, food stamps, college loans, va benefits, anything that the middle class or poor might receive. If we cut all of this then the rich can keep all their billions. That's bullshit from the word go. The poor and middle class is the reason they made their billions.

You will never get it. Keep giving it away to people who are not entitled and this country will buckle under in debt. The 2% you keep speaking of will not get this country out of debt no matter how much you tax them. If the money from increased taxes went to pay off the debt I would be the first to say do it. But that will not happen it will go to some fairy tale project or to someone who does not deserve it. You cannot see it's a game both sides are playing. It's real easy for me to spend someone else's money. So go ahead and shout out your liberal rants but it's not the answer. The answer is in the middle and your most successful presidents have governed from the middle.

Haven't you heard!! The proposed tax increases on the rich will only raise enough money to run the out of control spending for about 8 or 9 days. How is that a help?
Do you realize there are more rich democrats than republicans.
Lets focus on getting more people working in this country and collect revenue from more people working, than just taking rich peoples money.
Then you don't have to pay out unemployment and food stamps to everyone that signs up.
Why is that so hard to understand!!

Damn you are hooked on foxed news, and I mean bad. Now listen, it's the republican house of representatives that will cause taxes to go way up on the middle class, because the democrat president and democrat senate won't extend the bush's breaks for the rich. I didn't say there wasn't rich democrats. Most wealthy people realize they are free loading on the middle class. The wealthy didn't ask for this big tax break from bush and his republican controlled house and senate, but this republican house will be damned if they give up the huge tax breaks for the rich. The trickle down effect from the rich didn't work, our economy has actually went down hill since bush had this ridiculous tax plan voted in. Now the republican house is saying if this bush's plan for the rich expires in Janurary, then we will screw all middle class americans. Damn I can't wait till election day again. What part of this can you not understand?

Speaking of cuts, remember how the left tried to scare college students claiming Romney/Ryan wanted to cut Pell grants, which was a lie btw...Obama has cut the length of time in which grants can be received. It's a move I agree with, but it just shows more of the lefts dishonesty.

I'm gonna start sitting around all my free time watching fox, in the car I will always dial in rush limbaugh, I will agree that the rich is pure and lilly white, and the hard working middle class is trash, and that everyone that is dis-abled is just taking advantage of our gov. and I will accept the poor as scum of the earth, and finally I will agree to screw everyone else and just take care of #1, then everyone on this post will accept me as an o.k. person. Hell no, not in this lifetime. I was raised better than that.

I think that the republicans should go along with obamas plan but that he must not increase the deficit by borrowing any more money for our childen to pay back later. He wouldn't accept that. Wake up america, there has to be a end to all this spending of money we don't have.

That's it n a nutshell! It's called balancing a budget. It does not matter if you are dealing with $5 or $5 trillion the theory is the same - live within your means and do not spend more than you have.

Tell Mitch McConnell that. This idiot blows more money than anyone in the U.S. senate. Most of his big spending is for his own agenda to be re-elected.

If satan ran for office he would register to run as a republican. He would carry on the good work of good republicans. You know, help the rich and screw the middle class and the needy. I didn't give republicans this reputation, they have earned it.

Answer the question I asked Concerned in Muhlenberg. I didn't ask for your die hard Democrat testimony, I asked a simple question that only required a yes or no answer.
