Yes, I did. It upsets me to think that something could happen to cause our local hospital to close it's doors. Fellow Muhlenbergers need to make every effort to support our local hospital and our local doctors.

If MCH closes it's doors, just remember all those who were the first to step up to the payoff window and collect. I hope it feels good to get your money, all the while knowing that you put this county in jepordy of losing it's hospital. I know that it might not happen but to be honest I don't think things are looking to good.

The bottom line in all this is green. Trover dosen't care about this county and obviously most of the doctors at the clinic dont care either. If we aren't careful we are going to loose our hospital. This would be a horrible thing.

They already bought out the Powderly clinic, so I don't see why they wouldn't do the same to MCH. And really, I don't think the clinic ever cared anyway either...I had to go there for a sinus infection and found out that I magically had an $800 bill that I was unaware of. They never send out bills in the mail--to just see a doctor that day I had to pay almost $300 plus a co-pay. Its ridiculous how the health care system works. MCH is good though, they actually try to help out.

MCH ER is such a joke from the inexperienced RN's to the Rehab MD's! At least at Trover there is not a 4+hr wait to get two Tylenol, a giant bruise (from IV start)and a $1,900 medical bill. I formerly supported MCH for emergent care but I can't any longer! Something needs to happen-maybe a buy out be the answer. Go Trover!!!

MCH ER is not a joke dumbass. Most of the RNs that work there have between 15 and 20 years experience and one has 30 years. None of the doctors are on anything. Take yourself to Madisonville or where you want for emergency care. Trover is not looking out for the best interest for the people of the county. It is a money making effort on their part.
A $1900 bill doesn't come from tylenol and and IV stick. If you had a bill that high then you actually had some emergency service.

Well I have been reading this stuff and it is time for me to weigh in. Want to talk about a bunch of hacks, or rehab MDs as u put it! Plastic surgeon- narcotic abuser, cocaine addict, vodka user while doing surgery- Trover Health. Cardiac surgeon- non board certified for that, cocaine user and gone- Trover Health system. Radiologist- name sake of the the founder, did not read one mammogram in three years and billed for it- Trover Health System. Nurse practitioners in the ED that have never been in a clinical setting like that in their life nor could make a meaningful decision to save a life if their life depended on it- Trover Health. May as well be a veterinary clinic if u ask me. So say what u will about MCH, but I would rather go to MCH than go for the crap shoot over there. The bad part of it is, I actually liked some of the persons mentioned above, they just couldnt deal with the pressure.

Anytime you go to an ER anywhere there is most usually always a long, long wait. I've been to the ER a couple times at Trover and its nearly the same wait as MCH. Also the same in Owensboro, though I think the facilities there are much better. I really do not care for Trover personally, except for Dr. Rao the general surgeon in Madisonville. He did wonders removing my dad's skin cancer and making the scars a little less noticeable.

Sounds like you use the health care system pretty much. You must have one of those gov. cards.

Actually, prior to my pregnancy I did not have insurance. I believed that if I couldn't afford insurance, then I would not go for govt assistance. Too many people take advantage where the govt is concerned.

How did that pregnancy come about? A little untimely I'd say. First you get in the position to afford a child before....well you know what I mean.

If Trover buys MCH what would stop them from shutting it down? Why would they want 2 hospitals in close proximity to each other? Also this would kill the economy in G-ville. The hospital and the school district are the main employers in this county.

I totally agree. Dr Keith and the rest of the Ky Emergency Room physicians really do a good job. Anyone who thinks that some of the doctors have drug problems is really neglecting to see what this forum is about. The thing that is important is the thought of not having an emergency room in the county.
I know I don't want my wife or mother to have a mammogram read by somebody who is not even going to look at it. That is totally ridiculous.

I just want all of you to know that this topic bothers me. I was really surprised to read in the paper that 500+ people are employed by MCH. If something happens to MCH, that will leave 500+ people without jobs and insurance. Not to mention, leave our county without an ER and hurt our local physicians. Wake up, Muhlenberg County! Supporting your local hospital is more important than ever before. Start having your lab work & radiology services there. Have surgery at MCH. I have had 2 outpatient surgeries there and have not one complaint about either experience. Don't go out of town to deliver your children. Sure, many people can get on here and talk bad about our hospital all they want. But those who don't support the local hospital are part of the problem. How is MCH ever supposed to get the funds to remodel or upgrade to higher technology, if the funding isn't there? I'm sure you can think of atleast one person you know that is employed by MCH. Think of how losing their job would effect them. Please think about what I have said.
