After allowing my son to play ball w gcll last year I'm taking him nck to Ashland for baseball. The fields on the hill are a joke they aren't kept up t all several times we were up there & didn't have access to a bathroom or concessions. With as much money aa they are raking in, it's ridiculous the way it's ran.

When you go up there for your childs' baseball game & there's trash scattered across the infield, yea there's a problem!!
And when the coach's have to go buy their own game balls bc the directors haven't got them yeteatea there's a problem!!!
When a parent has to go buy their child catcher's equipment bc the ones from the league have ZERO padding & keeps tearing bc it's not been taken care of, yea there's a BIG problem.
Don't even get me started on the roads, and mile high brush surrounding the place!
Or the fact that in the one field that isn't used except for practice it littered w broken beer bottles.
Or the coaches who chose do to 5-7 fundraisers during the season, then turn around and pocket the money.
Should I go on??? I can.

The umps were not paid!! Most of the one they were whoever they could pull off the sidelines to do so!!! Oh do not worry I'm going back to Ashland little league, at least o know there my son is learning & growing to the best of his ability!

If Greenup Co Little Leaugue directors were smart, they'd join forces with south shore & wurtland. They'd use one set of fields for practice, use one set of fields for games. They should replace the bleachers, actually build bathrooms, put up lights on the fields. the dugouts could be better as well.

surebut sometimes they cannot get free ones and have to pay them lights and bathrooms cost a lot of money i am sure they do not have sponsers like ASSLAND. PROBLEM is coaches give up there time for free and still get ripped for trying to do good.why don,t you work with them instead of against them +SHUT UP RAVEN GREENUP IS GOOD.

My son will be playing in South Shore again this year. My niece is going as well to play softball. They have great facilities and little politics. I urge everyone to take their kids there. They have plenty of kids and the atmoshere was wonderful. I would have never imagined it would be so much better until we did it last year. 100 times better than the nasty dust bowl on the hill and a good time for all. They focused on the kids. I hope to see you in South Shore.

One more thing, no fund raisers. It was nice to just sign him up and not worry about selling something to friends and family. I think that I did pay an extra $20 when I sighned him up for pot of gold tickets and we could have sold them to someone or keep them and put our name on it. The other thing that was nice was that there was always support staff at the field if you needed anything. Hope to see you in South Shore

Girls softball allstars were held in Ashland last year and there fields were horrible, the infield was full of rocks. Actually raven if u want your son to excell at baseball ten get him on aabc team it is better than little league and they take it more serious

Bet must have never been anywhere else to watch a game.Ashland fields are much nicer and the fields at Flatwoods are terrific, especially their junior/senior field. Also the softball field at Flatwoods is the best in the area !!
