All those guys you talk about would tell you that being a bad-ass never got them anything but prison---jail----lost families -----and no respect from anybody but the losers that look up to these guys.
Wake-up. Use your head for something besides a hat-rack.
A few of these guys are dead & a few are in prison. However, there are a few that have fought Golden Gloves and/or mixed martial arts. My husband(whose name is on the list) was one of the lucky ones that was fortunate enough to be a Golden Gloves champion as well as a MMA fighter. I realise that he is the exception rather than the norm. The only way that I really encourage fighting is in the gym/ring/cage. I wish that GCHS had a wrestling program that would encourage wrestling as a sport(no WWE stuff, real wrestling. lol.) Boyd Co. started a wrestling program this year. I wish GCHS would follow.

Yes, Lee Reeves was a bada$$. He went to Indiana with my husband to be his cornerman. My husband was fighting a MMA fight. I've seen Lee mop the floor with a grown men. We were all a rowdy bunch back in those days. I'm glad to see Lee doing so great.

Yes, Lee Reeves is/was a bada$$!! I've seen Lee mop the floor with grown men! We were a rowdy bunch back in the day. As a matter of fact, Lee went to Indiana with my husband to be my husbands cornerman. He(husband) was doing a MMA fight. Lee was fortunate, he had hard hands and speed.

What about Dave Evans, he was a national champ in the featherweight division. He's gotta rank up there somewhere

I remember in the late 80's -early90's when Lee Reeves, Eric Phelps, Rusty(can't remember his last name), Kelly Clark and a few others were hardcore. I personally know eric hits like a mac truck. We fought & he knocked me out. I can usually hold my own. Nobody told me that he was a golden gloves champ until after I opened my mouth. We later became friends & had a drunken laugh about it. Not sure where hes at now. Lee was a hard one too. Kelly was a big sumbitch. A few others too but I cant remember names. Been too many years.
