It is jackasses like this that make it impossible to carry on any kind of intelligent conversation on this site. Nobody can seemto give a straight answer to anything.

It was a flying object.

It was unidentified, other than to say it was shaped like a cigar.

It was “moving and darting around” in the sky and had a “pulsating red light.”

That was the description given the Greenup 911 dispatcher in a call reporting a UFO that came in at 2 a.m. Thursday.

Cathy Martin, a newspaper carrier for The Independent in Ashland, told a reporter for that newspaper the object had green and a red lights, hovered for what seemed like 10 minutes, then rose up “real fast, took off to the west and was gone completely out of sight. We didn’t know what it was. The police said they didn’t know what it was either.”

Flatwoods City Police officers Joey Carver and Josh Gearheart answered the call to investigate, according to a spokesman in the dispatch office of the Greenup Count 911 Center.

Cathy Martin and her husband, Larry, told The Independent they were passing papers when they saw the policemen in the parking lot at the Guardian Animal Medical Center in Flatwoods watching the object through binoculars.

“I asked what they were doing and they said they got a UFO call,” Larry Martin said.

He said the officers handed him the binoculars so he could see for himself.

“I saw a red and green light, not moving at all,” he said, according to the report in The Independent.“It was oblong. I watched it for probably 10 minutes.”

If you know anything about locations/buildings in Flatwoods,
if you remember where the old Save-a-Lot grocery store was, it is an animal hospital now, they were on that parking lot observing it when the ADI Newspaper carriers that reported it to the paper asked the officers what it was they were looking at.

Not only that it was also said that if they landed they would then investigate.
When the officers cleared the CAD they told Dispatch that there were "NO REPORTED ABDUCTIONS".
At least Hoy, the dispatcher that gave the call out was very professional about it. I know he was wanting to bust a gut laughing.
