Who's the coach this year?

Coach this year is Chris Mullins. This will be his second and last year all rolled up in one. He went 0-10 last year and will do the same this year. He is a alright guy but has the WORST possible coaching staff that I have ever seen. Our boys will get killed this year. I begged my son not to play because there will not be any good that will come out of it besides medical bills.

AMEN brother, Medical bills and destruction of self esteem will be high as a result of pathetic assistant coaches who have no clue how to build programs and character

The coach is ultimately responsible for their assistants.

GC football staff are the Epitome of failure, a 0-10 record and no winning season anyone can ever remember speaks for itself, these guys think if they play fantasy football they know how to coach, please!! obviously GC would better serve the students by diverting money and resources to develop a "showcase" educational program vs a doomed footbal program. We have taken ours to Russell and i advise others who cherish their childrens education to do the same plus they have quality coaches who WIN if all u demand from your child is to play sports

We need a different coach. We need someone that will pick his own coachs, forget the "volunteer" coaches. The only people that went to Greenup County HS that ever knew how to play football are getting to old to actually run up and down a field.

Yes Greenup will probrably lose every game this year but it takes alot of guts to walk out their knowing everything is against them. Their not as solid as Russell and they don't recruit like Raceland but they just wanna play and represent their school.

Its hard to get assistants when the board wont pay them. Most good assistants have to have a teahing job also. Its hard to live on $1500 a year coaching salary. All Coach Mullins can do is take who is willing to donate time to try and help.

If all you people who are complaining would do something besides run your mouths and think you know it all then why dont u get off your asses and do something..I am proud of the boys who get out there and support the school and for the ones who change schools more power to you but hell Russell isnt any better they pass kids who have failed 3 9weeks because their 4th 9 week grade was a B..So I say GO GC..I support the boys 100% and if you dont want to then dont do it..Just quit complaining about it..I applaud Coach Mullins I think he is a awesome coach and the boys respect him..The reason we are in the shape we are in is from previous jackass coaches and for parents who cant keep their mouth shut but dont want to step up and all they do is bitch!!!!

I know quiet a few boys who have decided not to play this year. I commend the boys who are stepping up and playing knowing all that's against them. This will more then likely be a rough year but the ones who have stepped up to play have plenty of heart and that goes a long way. Very unfortunate to see this program suffer.

If Russell does that with the grades like you say then Greenup is very much at fault also with the basketball and cheerleaders. Greenup chases off coaches and until they see that it will not get better. Bet you wish you still had T.J. but you ran him off to.

Its not astrophysics, its simple- the football program at GC is ran by highly ineffective coaches, u have to fundamentally change the root causes to improve the program, changing the players obviously doesnt help, the best players to come out of GC year after year continue to put up losing records thats y the best talent is refusing to go out because the kids are outsmarting the coaches for once and realizing its just not worth getting your head bashed in every year when they can play baseball or basketball. success breeds success, losing year after year, well enough said

please allow me to correct your obvious sports gaffe- its not guts that it takes to walk out and get your head beat in week after week- although thats what the coaches want the boys and parents to believe, its poor decision making (euphimism for stupidity). your brave if u get your butt kicked, you've got guts if you're ranover every week, yes thats what we want to teach our future leaders, how about lets spend quality and productive time educating our kids thats its unacceptable to
take unsafe risks (its not bravery), lets focus on the guts it takes to step away from something that just isnt working and the bravery and guts it takes to approach a new idea- quality education for our children who will need that to succeed after high school. Getting a kid to realize he will not be making money in sports and needs to focus on education instead of hours and hours lifting weights how bout hours and hours reading a book, now that takes guts, that is brave!!

u r obviously one of those who support sending our innocent children to fight wars that dont need to be fought and only the intelligent humans have the guts to get the hell out of that mess, to prevent pathetic loss of human lives, i hope u see the connection since u obviously believe making stupid mistakes in military starts on the gridiron
