If this statement is true then why did you all as his friends and family continue to let him drive on a suspended license more then once? Seems to me someone continued to let him use a vehicle. And in case you did not know, he was driving on a suspended license when he barreled through not one but multiple red lights before he, as you put it, made a "horrible mistake". Evidence also shows that this "intelligent and humorous person" also had a bench warrant for his arrest for failing to appear for a court date just seven days prior to this accident. If he's such a fine young man then way the total disregard for the law? It's hard to believe your biggest concern is that his previous offenses have been publicized, which by the way are a matter of public record.

If he's a good a person as you say he is then why did his family disown him? As someone who has followed this case very closely, I can tell you that there were four court appearances and only once did his mother show up.

Your life may have benefited from knowing Mr. Thorn but you should know that many lives have now suffered because of the actions of your good friend.
