China King Restaurant
Food Not Good

Anyone ate at China King Lately? I have ate there at least once a week for two years until my last visit a couple of weeks ago. The food used to be good and I would tolerate the woman following right behind me and watch me fix my plate, and have to ask for more food to be brought out to complete my meal. But, due to a recent visit there with my Grandchild I will not be eating there again. My Grandchild's favorite food there is Chicken Teryaki, General Tso, and Crab Ragoons. He got out two Chicken Teryaki (or chicken on a stick he calls them) and only ate one and a small piece of the other, he took one bite of the General Tso, and got three Crab Ragoons and only ate a part of one because he said it tasted different than before. The woman came and got his plate and turned her nose up because he didn't eat all his food. She went to the kitchen then returned with one Teryaki stick and two Crab Ragoons and put in on the buffet. I went to get more food and checked the Teryaki and it was the same one my grandchild ate off of. The General Tso was bitter and all of the food tasted old. I went to get a dressed egg but they were dried out and hard on top, the bananas with strawberry glaze were black, and the banana pudding was dry and lumpy. This is the first really bad experience I have had with them but it was bad enough that I won't be going back. The FDA recently put out guidelines on how long food is to remain out and this surely had been out too long, and I never could understand why you could eat all you wanted on the buffet for around $5.00 but if you got a plate to go which limited how much you could get you were charged $7.00. Just didn't make sense, I guess those little styrofoam plates are really expensive.

There is never nobody there when I go. The woman behind counter does watch everything. I'm not going back there anymore. This lady very rude. If they didn't eat and sleep there they couldn't make it.

I ate there about 10 days ago. I try to eat there about every 2 weeks. In my opinion, it is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten anywhere and I have had Chinese food at a lot of different restaurants in a lot of different cities. Their General Tso's, crab rangoon, and especially their peper steak is tops! Also, the lady behind the counter and also her husband have been very friendly and professional toward me. I realize that the taste of food is an individual preference. The only gripe I have is that there is not always a lot of food on the buffet. But, I will usually fix a plate with my favorites and if any dish runs low, they will bring out more. Their situation is just like most other business people in this town. They are trying to eke out a living and it is hard to in Greensburg. A lot of people in town will run to Campbellsville and pay more money to eat inferior food instead of supporting our local restaurants.

Yes, I too have had to ask the lady to bring out more food and she always does. When they first opened, they had enough customers eating that they always had hot, fresh food on the buffet. Lately, their business, like most others in town has gone down. As far as the price is concerned, I always eat there at night, and their buffet is $6.50, I think. So, to Food not good, you have your facts wrong. They do not charge more for a carry-out buffet!

I used to eat there but the last few times I have eaten there they did not have enough food out for me to get full, little on anyone else. To have a restaurant you must have food. It's like if you eat more than they think you should they start staring at you. I wonder how they are able to keep the doors open.

I think it is probably better to order from the menu. Stay away from the buffet unless it is lunch or dinner time. Ordering from menu, its fresh and plentiful. Folks from other countries cannot imagine waste, and there was a time in America, not that long ago. Food wasn't thrown out.

I have never had any problem with the food...I like it....I don't think they put out enough on their buffet tho...
I do agree with the whom ever it was that said the Chinese lady watches every move you make...but it is an all you can eat buffet....we should get what we want and how ever much we want....especially on the carry out......they really watch you with that one....and I am slowly getting them to talk to me..The only thing I have against the restaurant is that she shouldn't watch every move you make and they need to put out more food on the buffet table..& I have yet to eat at the Mexican Restaurant so I have no idea about their food or their service.....

If you think the China King is bad try the Dairy Oueen. They have became a big joke. You can't get good food there anymore and some of the help are really nasty

China King taste like a bucket of horse shit. I could buy chinese food at a gas station that would be 10x better than the kibble they serve there. Hints why no one is ever in there. The only people that eat the shit are the people who have never eaten good chinese food before and know no better.
