Judged: 1 1 Oh really now? Mitten & Ann where living off his stock portfolio, given to him by his Dad, it paid for his college tuitions as well – not exactly roughing it, is it! He certainly did not have to “shop around” for an affordable university as he now suggests to less fortunate students. Romney's Mormon ancestors flee to Mexico to avoid anti polygamy laws imposed on them in 1892. Pro Vietnam War, he flees to France as a Mormon missionary to avoid military service in 1968. Mitt makes millions of dollars by exporting American jobs to China and other low wage countries. He parks his wealth in oversea banks to avoid taxes. People are now told he's a patriot who should be elected President – problem is, who is gonna vote for him – the Chinese? |

LOL just that you agree with wtf cancels out anything you have to say as valid. Biden has been a joke for 4 years and a thorn in Obama's side yet people who will vote for Obama will still vote for Obama regardless of what the old token white guy says or does. Same with Romney. People will vote for him regardless of who his running mate is. Actually the dems are petrified that Romney will chose Rubio as his VP and that is why they are spreading the rumor that Romney will choose Gingrich. Nice effort but really no impact at all. |

I agreed simply that Gingrich is a better pick than Sarah Palin. I'd strongly support a Rubio VP nod. |
Are there any particular reasons for these choices? |

It seems that Romney isn't the only draft dodger ever running for POTUS:::::
To give an illustration of how a prominent current leader avoided the draft in favor of college, I searched the Internet for Bill Clinton's ROTC letter and his involvement in the Vietnam War demonstrations in England. The following is what I found on the internet. Allow me say something up front. My opinion is that Bill Clinton's actions toward the draft was not a separate case, but his actions, and those of his family and friends using influence were reflected throughout the United States by thousands of other American families. The vast majority of male students attending colleges and universities were very concerned by and fearful of the draft. Most did not go to Bill Clinton's extremes. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Today’s decision is a great day for the President and not so good for the Republicans. It does also mean that Romney will not have to suffer the embarrassment of finding himself at a loss when asked to reveal his presumably secret “replacement” plan. Rather than being complacent about this victory, we need to move forward by making health care available to all Americans. Quite frankly, there’s no reasonable way to accomplish this other than socialized medicine and conducting the program through insurance companies is cost inefficient. Rather than being complacent by believing that the Republicans cannot effectively buy the presidency with the help of big business, we need to remain alert to the reality that we must vote to keep President Obama in the White House four more years. Spread the word! |

Judged: 2 The single insurance company will now arise again,as this is the only way to pay for this mess.Probably AARP will arise again to get the job of being that single insurance company, with the right to decide who gets what in medical care.Personally, always have had medical coverage since beginning to be an income producer. It was the thing to do when one went to work. Why do any think oes that will not work, should have what the workers have to pay for?Agree the indigent and poor need help, but if able to work, better be prepared to go to it!! |

No, no it’s official, the nomination goes to Mr. Wen Jiabao, you know, the guy Mitten created all those jobs for :-/ |

Judged: 2 2 I believe most progressives would prefer a truly universal health care program. Obamacare was a compromise to get the best they could get passed. National healthcare programs are socialistic, which for some reason conservative extremists believe is the same thing as Soviet Communism. The could not come up with a program that is not socialistic and can only complain about socialism, not that they too don’t benefit from our socialistic programs. We need to build beyond Obamacare to a universal program. There’s nothing wrong, and a lot that’s right, with those of us who are able showing appreciation by helping those who are unable. We shouldn’t leave you to die of illness when we can help you get well. |

Judged: 1 1 1 OTTAWA—The Canadian health care system has moved very slowly — when it has not stalled completely — towards meeting goals political leaders proclaimed would fix the system for a generation. A progress report from the Health Council of Canada concludes the $41.3-billion decade-long health accord the federal and provincial governments signed seven years ago has not come close to accomplishing what it set out to, even as leaders prepare to negotiate the terms of the next one. http://www.healthzone.ca/health/newsfeatures/... |

Judged: 1 1 1 Sick health care system made Canadians lose more than $3-billion in economic activity in 2011: Fraser Institute http://www.canada.com/business/productiveconv... NotDoctorTimBall 11:48 AM on 6/28/2012 Bob Foss: You are wrong. There is no way your numbers add up at all. American workers getting health care for $10 sounds cool. But its totally bogus. For the most part, the employer pays. Or they are really not getting any service. Do the math. I don't think you could get a doctor out of bed for $120 (1 year's payments). Take an aspirin and hope you can call me in the morning. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_th... But what you're also saying is... there is no choice in the US. You take what the company health care plan offers or else pay more for your own. Either way, its $600. This scenario played out in Hawaii. The State passed a law requiring employers to pay for health care so businesses closed whole sale. That's why you don't get pineapples or C&H Cane sugar from there any more. And lets not get into 'preexisting conditions'. Remember they don't deny service down there. They deny payment. |

Judged: 1 1 1 http://vtdigger.org/2012/06/13/mccauliffe-can... Patients are now waiting two to three years for a colonoscopy at Montreal area hospitals. As of March, the Royal Victoria Hospital was no longer scheduling patients due to the backlog. In March, The Montreal Gazette reported that “it’s not just low-risk patients who are affected. Those with a first-degree relative with colorectal cancer – which places them in the high-risk category – have told The Montreal Gazette that they have been waiting longer than a year for a colonoscopy. In one case, a 50-year-old patient, whose father underwent colorectal-cancer surgery and whose grandfather died from the same disease, has been booked for a colonoscopy in 2014. Ideally, such high-risk patients should get their colonoscopy within three to six months from the time the request was made…. Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in Canada.” http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Royal+Vic... Wait times to receive treatment from a Canadian specialist hit an all-time record high in 2011. The Frazer Institute published data that showed the median time it took for a patient to get non-emergency treatment from a specialist is nearly five months. This is double the waiting time in 1993, when the Frazer Institute first began tracking waiting times. http://www.fraserinstitute.org/research-news/... Just ASK the Canadians how good universal health care WORKS...... |
