Has anyone heard about the big lawsuit at Green Hill? I heard that 2 department heads sued the nursing home and got fired. I say that if it's true, more power to them!!!!!!!!

I heard that it was 2 sisters and their father was at the nursing home and evidently after he died they sued the nursing home. I had an aunt there several years ago and I hated it. I am surprised that they haven't had more lawsuits. I'll never let another family member go there!!

There is one in Etown I wouldnt take my worse enemy too. I feel sorry for those people stayin there. I dont really know anything about GreenHill so I wont post anything against them. I believe most of these nursing homes dont give the care they should.

I'm not taking up for negligent care just due to laziness, but as we all know that most facilities are not staffed and never will be staffed accordingly to meet patient demand simply because money is the bigger issue rather than quality patient care. More times than not there is simply not enough man power to take care of patients, especially if they are one on one care because the higher ups expect 1 or 2 to do a 4 man job. It is pitiful and it is sad but sometimes it is simply out of the hands of the employees that work there.

If it is T.S. and J.N. the lawsuit would be based all on hear probably by B.L.L. she is good at telling the family these kind of tales because these 2 workers are too lazy to get off of their BIG FAT rumps and see what is going.

my mother is there and she would not go anywhere else, they are the cleanest and nicest nursing homes around, some people are not cut out to work in places like that.

Had a family member there & could not ask for any better care.We dealt with more than one & this one is the best by far.
Most of these people put a person in there & go see them once a month if even then,& expect everything to be perfect.Don't put your family there & abandon them.I think this is most of the elderly peoples fear. Not of being put in a nursing facility, but being abandoned by thier loved ones & it happens daily.

If they didn't take so many cigarette breaks they could take care of the patients better and clean that place up, I gag everytime I go there It smells like a dirty toilet all over it, I don't see how they ever get an award for quality Its the worst I have ever seen. If I had to go there I would just as soon they let me die first.
These patients need more baths and their clothes changed more often, Some people need a bath more often than others

I wish they would pick up their cigarette butts. Both sides of the road are littered with them, not a good sign. Nothing against their care, just their littering.

That is your own bullshit you smell. No it don't always smell like roses, but neither does hospitals & homes.Their cigarette breaks are outside,it's their right. No before you start I don't smoke,as a matter of fact,I can't be around it due to health reasons, but the smokers have rights too.
You people want to bi*** & moan about everything.Visit Medco & you will see Green Hill is heaven compared.Smell, care, food & anything else you want to compare.
Go do a little volenteer work, help them a few hours a week,I bet they could really use it.

Most patients in any nursing home cant control their bladder or bowels.Until you have worked at a nusring facility there is no way you would have a clue.I worked at green hill manor 20 yrs ago.we did bed checks every 2 hrs on the third shift. we changed almost half of the beds and washed off the patients bottoms and lotioned them down so they could rest better. by the time you had went and took care of them you might have 30 min left til; time to do another bed check. During that 30 min we had to chart on each patient if they had a bowel movement, if they were resting, and anything out of the ordinary. Also any spare time was spent washing wheel chairs, folding laundry, helping a few to the bathroom, answering caller buttons,, then the last 2 hrs of the shift, you had to help a few get dressed and ready for breakfast, if they couldnt get up for breakfast, then you rolled their beds up, and helped them wash their face and hands, if they went to the dining room they had to be washed and dressed, with teeth in and hair combed. also the beds had to be changed and made when they are got up.Of course there will be a smell in all nursing facilities. What do you expect when they wet several times a day? even when they are changed, they have very strong kidneys.its not as if the clothes are washed as soon as one person wets.they have to have a load.also if they have a BM( bowel movement)More then likely if you have a parent there they are elderely and you arent a spring chicken yourself, so im sure you have worked enough to quit and take care of your parent if you arent pleased with the way they are being cared for.God Bless everyone who works at Green Hill Manor!!The aides wash out a soiled sheet by hand before it is sent to the laundry.Nursing aides dont have a life or glory so if you think you can do better, then go for it.Ive volunteered many times at nursing homes.Im sure a mop would fit any of your hands.Im unable to work now and being a nursing assistant is why.Try lifting a 200 lb lady or gentleman every day into a wheel chair or bed or simply changing him or her. for 20 yrs!!!I loved my job and i loved my patients when I worked at Green Hill. But you can only do so much and some peoplke you cant please at all.Meaning the FAMILY!!

I hope you are not so stupid & petty about your loved one that is there.Try giving them a bath,or rub down,Help them with their food.It really won't hurt you.You would feel better about yourself than all the complaining you are doing.Better yet take them home with you & do it all.See how fresh you & your home might smell then.If you aren't "able" or just can't do it,don't put down the ones that do.

were you the one that worked side by side with e.w. he jerked the feet up and you pulled the pad and flopped another one under and he let go and on to the next bed.what about the man that was hurt and the lady that was the admr. paid them off? i believe of all people that worked you 2 were meaner to the people.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
