According to the radio, what was taken was not narcotics. One is used for an upset stomach (first letter P) and the other is used for allergies (first letter B). Both would make you sleepy. I can not spell them, so I am not going to attempt to. Was not taking shots. You must have listened to a different report.

Benadryl and Phenergran. Neither narcotics, but still taken according to radio report. Does not make sense to possibly lose your license over these two medicines. Hopefully, everything will work out and she will be given a second chance. I am sure it will be in CKNJ, best to get your info there, than on Topix.

When I started this thread, I meant no harm....I have always thought of the nursing profession as a most honorable one and I respect it highly. I hope this person does not lose her job (position).

I feel the same way. It will be in the court's hands now on how it plays out. The charges were Theft by Unlawful Taking and would probably be dealt with in District Court.

why wouldn't she lose her job? AND her license to practice? That position carries with it a code of ethics. I don't care if she was stealing q-tips, she was still stealing.

I can tell from that question and the answer you expect to hear, that you surround yourself with some really classy people. As it obviously surprises you, I haven't stolen anything in my life, EVER. If she was sick and needed the meds, one would think it would be really simple for a girl working at a hospital to obtain the proper diagnosis and prescriptions required to cure her illness. THAT is a sorry, sorry excuse and only further proves to me that this girl DEFINITELY needs to lose her job and license. She is an absolute stain on the profession.

The health field is no games at all believe me I know. When you make choices such as her sometimes bad things happen its called life. A grown women working in a facility should know better than that, but then again nobody really knows the whole story so who knows.

thank you. I just have never had any desire to steal anything. It's definitely not that I haven't wanted something someone else has had, but it isn't the kind of thing that crosses my mind, to take something that doesn't belong to me. I am glad you find your friends are of good moral character as well. It is a sad world when we are left to assume that everyone has stolen at least once. Though it IS common, it's generally common for people to have done it as a child, not as a grown, educated professional.

It actually was the 2 mentioned.
The one is used in making drugs and the other is to keep you from getting sick while high. It seems to be a "new trend" these days.

Is this her second time getting caught stealing the same medicines, once before at Fort Knox? I don't understand why these medicines, and injectables? Not worth the risk at all.
