I work as a construction sup. I live in IL but drove through Greensburg sunday morning on my from lincoln NE to albuquerque nm. I have heard of greensburg but never realized what a large scale "green project" it was.. Im so impressed by the local involvment... Hats of to all I hope more towns follow suit.. I am curently building a new home and was slightly disturbed my my local energy codes... After seeing a town go throgh such hardship i have no problem embracing the new codes.... you are an inspiration to all

Yes, cottonfarmer, you are required to have a tornado shelter to recieve a building permit, just like you are required to have an earthquake shelter in Orange.
