Decatur Restaurant. It was ran by Virgil Rohlfing's sister.

Anybody remember Virgil, who hung out at the Dog House on afternoons? If he were still alive, he'd be about 110 years old.

the doghouse was one of the local bars that was behind the south side of the square facing south broadway st.

when my mom and dad owned the western auto they bought it from the Shaw family and their son Tom Jr. used to repair bicycles in the back of the store and he frequented the Doghouse.

also a Hooks downtown? do you maybe mean Hunters Pharmacy?

Hunters that was the name, I don't remember the dog house, but Murphys I would go in there and look at the candy and smell the aroma of the roasting nuts. Occasionally we were allowed to buy some.
