I don't need to watch anything to know you are just a coward that wants to complain and do nothing about it.

1957 must have been a big year for character introductions. While Andy Griffith appeared in the preceding movie, Joanne Woodward won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for her appearance in "The Three Faces of Eve." ...

http://www.reelz.com/trailer-clips/44545/the-...

Its 56 years later and someone, who doesn't like to be called out as Rick Fayette, has introduced a trio of personalities all his own ... Daffy Duck, Daisy Duke, and Ha!

In that he might think people are fooled to think it isn't he who is posting, that someone who doesn't like to be called out as Rick Fayette best fits the Andy Griffith character of "Lonesome Rhodes," and is why I chose to introduce the 1957 character to this thread. Following are a few of the memorable quotations from Griffith's movie....

#1 (in commenting on his place of origin):

MARCIA JEFFRIES: You always drink like that?
LONESOME RHODES: Not always. Back in Riddle they was pretty strict. Didn't allow us to touch hard liquor till we was 10 or 11.
MARCIA JEFFRIES: Now is there really a town called Riddle?
LONESOME RHODES: Well, tell you the flat truth, it's just a sort of a whatchacallit, a...
MARCIA JEFFRIES:... Composite?
LONESOME RHODES: Compost heap's more like it.

#2 (in showing that psycho-babble is nothing new):

FIRST MRS. RHODES: He thinks he has to take a bite out of every broad he comes across. Then he calls them a tramp, drops them, and there's all sort of psycho something-or-other, you know.

#3 (in having the first of many grandiose delusions):

LONESOME RHODES: I'm not just an entertainer. I'm an influence, a wielder of opinion, a force... a force!

#4 (in having another of his grandiose delusions):

LONESOME RHODES: This whole country's just like my flock of sheep!
MARCIA JEFFRIES: Sheep?
LONESOME RHODES: Rednecks, crackers, hillbillies, hausfraus, shut-ins, pea-pickers - everybody that's got to jump when somebody else blows the whistle.[...] They're mine! I own 'em! They think like I do. Only they're even more stupid than I am, so I gotta think for 'em.

#5 (on his characterization of man):

LONESOME RHODES: Those morons out there? Shucks, I could take chicken fertilizer and sell it to them as caviar. I could make them eat dog food and think it was steak. Sure, I got 'em like this... You know what the public's like? A cage of Guinea Pigs. Good Night you stupid idiots. Good Night, you miserable slobs. They're a lot of trained seals. I toss them a dead fish and they'll flap their flippers.

#6 (as with Rick's effort to fool others as "Ha"):

MARCIA JEFFRIES: You put your whole self into that laugh, don't you?
LONESOME RHODES: Marcia, I put my whole self into everything I do.

#7 (as for another's opinion of him):

MEL MILLER:[commenting on one of Lonesome Rhodes' on-air tirades] I'll say one thing for him, he's got the courage of his ignorance.

Delusional, yes. Nobody Important is certaintly that. I am not Rick Fayette. I am just a citizen tired of your reckless irresponsibility and meddling in a community that you dont even live in. I would say pay taxes here but can't prove that yet. So, I wont.

All we are asking you to do is to check with MSG and or the City to see if your cause for concern is justified. If so, stand at the courthouse and crow about it. If not shut up. Why can't you just make one simple phone call unless you are afraid that it will prove you wrong.

Your credibility and by default MJ's continues to shrink.

Wow just wow you are a whole level of nuts unto yourself. If you think I'm Rick you are crazy. I don't even come close to knowing him. I've seen his name here but no idea who the man is. You are just posting gibberish to distract from being called out on your bs. Make 1 phone call and all your problems are taken care of, it's amazing really that if you take action you get results. If you complain on a forum that the city government probably doesn't read it's just the rantings of a mad man

Make the call and find out. You have a chance of being right. You might be wrong. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Unless the gain is in the accusations not the good of the community.

For some odd reason I think this may end up being a case of libel. Baseless claims put in print that cause damage to a persons name or status with no cause.

How mistaken? Well, consider that Indiana cities are incorporated by the state. A city's charter must therefore be in compliance with the state's constitution. Did you know that contained in Article 6 of Indiana's constitution are the following provisions?...

SECTION 7: IMPEACHMENT OF STATE OFFICERS.

"All State officers shall, for crime, incapacity, or negligence, be liable to be removed from office, either by impeachment by the House of Representatives, to be tried by the Senate, or by a joint resolution of the General Assembly; two-thirds of the members elected to each branch voting, in either case, therefore."

SECTION 8: IMPEACHMENT OF OTHER OFFICERS.

"All State, county, township, and town officers, may be impeached, or removed from office, in such manner as may be prescribed by law."

Interesting ... "In such manner as may be prescribed by law."

This is all supported by Indiana Code 5-8-1-1 section 1(a), which reads....

"Under Article 6, Sections 7 and 8 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana, all state officers other than justices of the supreme court or judges of the court of appeals of Indiana or the Indiana tax court, all other judges, prosecuting attorneys, and all county, city, town, and township officers are liable to impeachment for any misdemeanor in office."

What misdemeanor?
