This thread was started ...not for discussion, but to encourage something positive that is taking place in our community. Please save the discussion for somewhere else.

This is the first time in the history of our school that the soccer team has won the regional and moved on to state.

Give credit where credit is due and be proud of our boys Soccer team and cheer them on!!!

I will have to agree with Jean. Keep it positive. I am tired of all the bashing and negativity. Celebrate an accomplishment by a team and their coach. Wish them well.

Rick Fayette is a negative, nay-saying arrogant Ahole who has no business coaching. He has nothing positive to say to the players unless it's his friends' kids and makes decisions for the team that have nothing to do with what's best for the team...it's just what RF wants. These boys have had a stellar season in spite of RF not due to him. So celebrate the team but don't shower accolades on a coach who doesn't deserve it. Go Pirates!

In as much as I have bad-mouthed Rick Fayette because we are at opposite ends of the political spectrum, this time we are together.

I'm really proud of my alma mater and would like nothing more than to see Greensburg win a state championship.

I am Michelle Ray. This thread was brought to my attention this morning because my child's name was mentioned in it. First, let me say a child's name should NEVER be mentioned here. I realize there is some bashing about Rick Fayette on this page, and I understand he often visits and comments in defense of himself. My child will have no such luxury because he doesn't even know he is on it.

With that being said, I am unsure of the motivation for bringing his name up. Jacob played very little in the regional game. He is playing only his second year ever of soccer, keeping up and earning ANY play time on a history making soccer team full of talented boys is a success in our book. I can only assume the comment about him was made because someone assumed I was the person speaking ill of Rick. And while I often question his methods, and cringe at some of the things he says to the boys, I know better than to bad mouth him in that way. my feelings about his coaching have never got in the way of how much I have supported this team. I hope my child doesn't pay the price for those comments here.

The boys are about to play the two biggest games of their young lives. The stars of the team are going to need capable subs to make it through these two tough games and I would hate to think an incorrect assumption would leave any kid out. How about we wish them well and encourage them as a team rather than tear the team apart with such divisive comments about the players. Let's remember they are kids playing a game they love.

Jacob Ray went in off the bench and got the game winning assist during regional.

That is what every coach wants, positive contributions from all their players.

The bashers and haters on this forum have no guts. Post your real name is you want to bash players and coaches so we know who you are you can take credit for your information, knowledge and comments. Prove that you are a reliable source of information.

Quality time in a position is what the platoon system is about.
