And who is the negative one?Last time I checked several of the Batesville school officials live in Greensburg. Batesville coach graduated from little old South Decatur. Where is you home grown at? No one smart enough to lead your school from Batesville?
Get over it. People move for one reason or another. What happen to your recruit? Didn't he move to columbus north? Not good enough for Batesville but can put up a double-double in the class 4a sectional championship game..
These boys and coaches did more than most will accomplish. Your state champs usually come from the bigger cities or suburbs. Give them their props they done a great job and the community was behind them all the way.
Ask coach Garrett what is a state championship is like. I believe he was at South Decatur in 90 or recently graduated...
Batesville's "recruit"? Are you serious? No one had ever heard of that young man until he showed up in the halls of the school to enroll because his single dad had moved in with a Batesville woman. He wasn't around long enough to see if he could develop into a good player but he did have potential.(I wish him well and glad he did find success at his next school)
Again, congrats to Greensburg. It is nice to have positive things happening and hopefully that ball will just keep rolling - not just high school sports but with many positives taking place. There have been too many sad stories lately from both of these towns.
