Yes this has been heartbreaking sad and everything, but since these people have passed, there have been at least seven other deaths in Greensburg. Where all the weeping and crying for them??? Come on people, just because these four individuals perished in a plane does not make them any higher then the others that have died. I feel badly for the families just as my heart breaks for the ones who have died in other ways. For pete sake, GET A GRIP GREENSBURG! These people died in a plane crash. It happens every single day. Other people will die today in other ways. Let us grieve and MOVE ON! They are not any more special. They were humans whose time on earth was over. And that is that. Death and it's sting is vicious. But life goes on.

Hundreds gathered at St. Marys Catholic School in Greensburg Thursday to remember the victims of Sundays plane crash. They came to say goodbye to Donald and Barbara Horan and Stephen and Denise Butz who were killed when their plane crashed near the Greensburg airport. Marge Bruns, an administrator at St. Marys Catholic School, was amazed at the amount of people who came to the visitation. Its absolutely remarkable. Ive never seen anything to this extent to this regard and were just awestruck. We truly are - and a small community like this --- you see--- this is what you see and this is wonderful. She read a statement that asked people to continue the victims example of kindness they showed in their lives.

I was one of them there. I'm not saying don't grieve. But we must get on with life after we have done so. It cannot consume us as a town, we must continue onward and not give up. These were good people but that is all they were... just people.

You all need to be there for the kids. They need us now more than ever. I would be lost if I were those kids. Stop dwelling on the plane crash the people who were involved and pray for the children. Yes I was friends with both families. I did my share of crying, but now my thoughts and prayers are with the children involved. What if that was you and your family???

I keep reading that one of them gave so much to "charity." Yet, only one organization is mentioned as a recipient. Someone please clarify what other organizations are on the charity recipient list. And before that Fayette asshole jumps on his bandwagon, let me clarify that I'm not making a judgement or criticism. I'm asking for clarity.
Who cares? No one owes you any "clarity" and it's none of your business or mine or anyone else's. He made his own money. He chose to use it and donate it as he wished. It doesn't matter a bit if it was one charity or five hundred. And quit pretending you are not criticizing. The quotations on "charity" pretty much say it all.

The quotation marks around "charity" is to signify that the word has a defined meaning under IRS rules to be tax deductible. And yes, most donations to a church qualify as "charity."

I don't write the news. I only repeated what I've read. If you want to be on someone's case, then get on the reporter's for even mentioning "charity" in the first place.

If it were my family personally, I would be trying to deal with two deaths this evening, what kind of question is that? You don;t need to be rhetorical and petty in your posts. I have stated my piece and that is that.

Samantha, no one is suggesting that the deaths of these four individuals was more important than anyone else who has died. I doubt that even their families feel that way. It has been news because of the tragic accident - four young parents killed together in a plane crash - who have left six young children behind. That's the news here. I believe that the fact that hundreds of people who showed up at the memorial service to pay their respects indicates the goodness of the Horans and Butzes. Sure, there were probably a few people who attended out of nosiness, but most cared and appreciated what these two families have done for your town. As far as someone here questioning exactly what charities they gave to other than the church, let me ask what have you done lately to help anyone out or to help out your town? From what I have read, this family donated their time and energies into making Greensburg a better place to live. They were wonderful, involved, and lovely parents to their children, and their example will show in their children as they mature into adults. Their children probably won't grow up to be angry, negative adults like many of you who sit on your computers and criticize four people who did more in their 40+ years of live than you ever will.

If that is what you want to think, Unbelievable, then perception is reality. I'm nobody important. I used to call myself that in this very forum, but someone else shortened "Nobody Important" to "Nopo." Now you know the rest of the story!

Odds are, there is another who will confirm my deadbeat status.

Nopo - I have no idea who you are and don't care. However, you really should start believing in the name you chose for yourself because you sure seem to think you are important. I see it in every comment you post and it is really quite sickening. You are negative and bitter and I can't imagine your real life being much better than what your topix persona portrays. I truly am sad for you.

That being said, I am glad there are good people in this world. It is unbelievably sad that we lost four good people but I do hope their generosity and kindness lives on in their children. I only wish the best for those young people whose lives are forever changed.

The NTSB will not find any problem with the plane since this was pilot error, plain and simple. Why will it take 9 months to figure that out when everyone knows this fact? More taxpayer money being wasted for no reason, and it is senseless. The plane crashed due to pilot error. If anyone wants to disagree, throw your evidence on the table.

The NTSB finding amounts to be about the same as a coroner's ruling. They had best take their time and do a proper investigation because the NTSB's word is what the airplane manufacturer, insurance company, and the court will rely on for assignment of responsibility and assignment of liability.

In view of the following, please excuse me if the above overstates my importance.

It isn't my purpose to make everyone gag and barf. I have a question for "aaa." How much does it cost to buy respect?
