Why did Michelle Obama get a $200,000 raise/promotion from her employer when her husband became senator?

I think if this had happened to Bill Clinton it would be thoroughly questioned.

Obama then earmarked $1 million for her employer -University of Chicago Hospital--which was not granted by the senate.

This raise and its timing would rub MANY Americans the wrong way.
