Texting While Driving Is a Very Dangerous Thing, I Hope That People Will Think Twice About Doing Anything Like This.

Well here we go again. Everybody hurry and pass a law because people don't use common sense. So we will have police checking cell phone records at traffic stops to potentially write more tickets. Let's pass a law against eating in the car because someone wrecked because they were paying more attention to their sandwich instead of driving. How about banning changing a CD in your player while driving, etc,etc.etc. I feel bad for the family of this young girl but passing laws will not stop this especially with teens. They love it and even while sitting at home would rather text than talk on the phone. Common Sense people, not more laws.

Go to youtube and watch Texting While Driving (Very Graphic) by Mark Baker. Show it to your kids. If this young lady had seen it, there may have been a different outcome. God bless this poor child's family-this must be so painful for them. I am so sorry-nobody should have to bury their child.

I agree dmc- laws won't do anything. People do what they want ecs teens-when do they ever really listen to any adult? They think nothing like this could ever happen to them. They need to start going in to schools showing before & after pics of these teens.

So sad. We all need to take this seriously and not text while driving. I am at fault myself and can only imagine how this mother must be feeling. Prayers to the family and friends.

When are the rule makers in this country going to outlaw texting and talking on your cell phone while driving? How many more idiot people are going to die because they think they can talk/text and drive at the same time. THEY CANNOT.

this is such a sad story. I'm 17 and I live in NC too. I think this texting ban is a really great rule. I just started driving and I don't want to have distracted drivers on the road endangering people I love. I'm so sorry for this girl and her family

another death, no real news for the general public, but a tragedy for the family and friends of this girl, someone wrote to pass a law... for what to curb peoples behavior or to harass dumb teens. Have you ever seen the police going down the road with they're laptop displaying messages/ information, a scanner monitoring other agencies and a 2-way blasting out the calls while they wear an unbelievable amout of gear and have there mind on what they are doing, ... you see it's all about mind control and paying attention to your surroundings. Teens have no ability to do this as they are pre-occupied with young and dumb things, so ban this, ban that does not work, there is no better cure than education, so do not allow your teen to have a cell phone unless they appear mature enough to exercise great care with it while driving, more deaths will follow so as I write this the tires are squalling and the blood is pouring somewhere, another death another day.
