I'll decide to believe after trial. The fact accounts diverge pretty widely here. It is hard to know who to believe. On the one hand, the occupants of the SUV had illegal drugs, on the other hand, Officer Bunn is no stranger to police brutality claims. Heck, one of his cases even went up to the 11th Circuit and they wouldn't give him qualified immunity (that is not an easy feat to pull off!).

14 MPH one second before the airbag deployed is not going to help Officer Bunn. Hopefully, the undmarked unit had a dashcam. Those can help the police out of sticy situations sometimes, and I know the unmarked unit was point right at Bunn and Corey. Ray better have taken some pictures of that knee that night, or else Tracey will have to ask for even more donations for the 5 kids.

The GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) found the cop's story factual. The FBI found the cops story factual. The only people disputing the cop's story is the dead perp's grandmama and the dead the perp's perp friends. All of the perps in the car have long criminal histories for stealing cars and and car radios. Gee, they were spotted trying to break into cars that night and surprise surprise, they had stolen radios in their vehicle!! We're supposed to believe these people over the uninvolved witnesses and forensics? Paul Howard had to shop around to find someone who would say the cop was wrong. When APD wouldn't say it, he went to the GBI. When the GBI sided with the cop, he went to the FBI. When they sided with the cop, he went elsewhere. This doesn't strike you as odd??? Let me guess, the cop just randomly shot at this car because the kids inside were black, then planted the stolen radios in the car and made up the story about them trying to break into cars, and it's just a coincidence that these thugs all have lengthy criminal histories for breaking into cars. Is that what you're implying?

This means nothing. Popo pretty much always clear popo except under the most exceptional circumstances (like an old woman being shot). I say get the witnesses from both sides up in front of a jury. Examine them, cross examine them and then I will decide if whether Bunn's knee really got hit, whether a 14 mph vehicle can ever be considered a deadly weapon against a grown healthy man who has time to get out of the way and whether shooting was a reasonable way to try to minimize the particular threat Bunn faced.

He has already been to court with a cock and bull story about how he had to break a woman's eye socket because of an alleged "scratch." We may have an MO here. Or maybe the popo has paid some good witnesses to give good testimony and Ray will be cleared. Could go either way. I just haven't decided.

Let me make it real simple for you:(i) bullet went through the side window; (ii) bullet did not go through the front window; and (iii) vehicle was going 14 mph.

Physical evidence? Everyone who has seen the physical evidence has agreed that is matches what the witness and the cops say happened. So what if the bullet did go through the side window? The vehicle may have swerved at the last minute as Bunn was shooting. Since you have so much to say about Bunn, why don't you come down here, or maybe next time I'm in Rochester we can meet up and I'll come at you with a car and see how well you make out!

I am not prejudiced against all cops. Just ones with a history of being repeatedly sued for police brutality, those who believe unreliable informants and those who bring out the SWAT team for minor crimes. Okay, maybe that is all cops.

nevertheless, I am willing to believe that Officer Bunn didn't murder Cory if:(i) the state fails to meet its burden at trial; and (ii) the prosecution doesn't take a dive (like they did with those drunken Sean Bell cops).

But you're ignoring the fact that all of the witnesses and all of the evidence support Bunn's story. The GBI and FBI have no reason to lie. On the contrary, an agent for an agency like that uncovering lies and corruption can be good for one's career. The only explanation you have for Bunn's story checking it is a police cover up and accusations that they paid witnesses. Maybe where you live, things are like Mayberry. But cops in crime ridden areas like Atlanta face assaults like this all the time. The cops who never get complained on are the lazy ones who aren't doing their job. Bunn could have very easily turned his head the other way and ignored these thieves. Cops who work their tails off and try to make a difference get into stuff like this. Do you appreciate the hard work they do? No, you criticize and second guess. You also lie and make false, baseless accusations.

If this was the prosecution of the kids in that car, and the DA had to shop to around like he did to find an "expert witness" to testify against them, you'd be raising hell. But since he is doing it to a cop, you don't have a problem with it. You are a biased, prejudiced person. What makes you so biased against cops?

No. the physical evidence says that the car was not coming at him, but rather trying to drive around him. As far as what all the witnesses say, we shall see at trial. We shall see both what they have to say (in direct examination) and what their biases may be (in cross-examination). At this point it looks like Bunn is and should be toast. get it? Bunn, toast! lol

What physical evidence suggests the car wasn't coming at him? Have you examined it yourself? Apparently, the experts who did examine it (APD, GBI, FBI) all agreeed with what Bunn stated. It's easy for you to just cry, "oh the popo are just covering for each other" but I assure you, that doesn't happen between agencies like that.

How is someone supposed to know if a vehicle coming at them is going to swerve around them at the last minute? Would you like to come to Atlanta and play chicken with me? You are very good at not answering questions and making broad accusations with no evidence to support them. You have said, in so many words, that all cops are liars. All of the experts agree with Bunn. All of the witnesses agree with Bunn. You can't just claim the witnesses are biased because you want to believe the cop is bad. Around here, witnesses against police come out of the wood work. You are so quick to believe the word of thieves over cops, experts, and uninvolved witnesses. Why is that? Why are you so prejudiced?

I watched once as a colored woman fought with police because they were arresting her sons murderer. This woman was fighting with police to keep them from dragging her sons murderer off to the white mans jail.
The biggest problem in cutting crime in the black community is that the black community would rather have murderers and thieves and drug dealers living in their neighborhoods than to see these animals taken off to the white mans jails and prisons.
