Remember, it's a day on, not a day off. Right, another day on welfare.

How come mlk DAY runs EIGHT days? One is one too many, but EIGHT? I have a dream, too: that all this would go away.

Ceejay: NO, you cannot have Ceejay Day, and if you don't like it, just remember that February is Black Heritage Month, or whatever PC name they're calling it now. So 8 days for King and then a whole month for all the rest of the African Americans. And you won't hear the names Muddy Waters, John Coltrane or Otis Redding mentioned at all. Forget King: Fats Domino did more to bring the races together by producing music that made the kids forget about color and jump over the segreation barriers.

Yet another reason I am NOT proud to live in the south. SO much negativity, sorounding events to celebrate a man who wanted nothing more that us to come together as a whole. So sad...

You are obviously not from the South - if you were you would know that MLK was not what he has been hyped. By the time his followers had him shot - he was washed up and was not even focused on civil rights. If he were alive today he would be in the same league as a Hoesa Williams, just another crack pot that ask for money all the time.

If he was so great - why has his family done nothing but make money off this created memory.

If you were from the south you would also resent all the glory they are giving this guy that was really no more than a trouble maker.

If you don't like living here - leave - go back to New Jersey or where ever and I am sure you will find no prejustice there - LOL.

We still face the days, where employers of Atlanta do not recognize the King holiday; and we are wondering: What is really wrong.
We want to tell the world that we Love you King family and all that you do in the world. Thank God for the dreamers: Martin Luther King and Corretta Scott King.

You have no hope in your heart. That is why you said what you said. One day love will come and I pray that you let God in. You need God.

Other people's Birthday's have nothing to do with us recognizing the greatest of Martin Luther King Jr. If he was here to day, he would pray for those of you who are not taking this matter of showing love and appreciation to our leaders that give their lives to save others. I wonder how you would feel if someone pulled you from a burning building. I hope you would appreciate them and say Thank you. You can not erase his greatest or his love. So go ahead try, you are just looking foolish and unwise. Guest what? We will celebrate that day and you can not do anything about it.

Thank you God for people who think that celebrating that day is a joke. It helps me and others remember that we must love harder, pray harder , help each other harder and keep remembering the love our civil right leaders have shown.

There's no hope for peace in the world with people like Brad, Fed up and the countless other bigots in the world. Funny how we can fight for freedom arond the world but can't support and love our own people here in our country.

Sam, you have got to be the sadest man I have ever heard. Why bash people getting together to celebrate the change that our communities need so much. Martin did not have to get involved in the struggles of the poor because his family was well off. But he got involved.

Guest what because of his step of faith, I can sit in the front of the bus. I do not have to sit in the black section of stores and eating places. I can get equal rights in the military, corporate America and in the train. One race can not isolate another race. Sam, we are every where. Maybe you can live in Asia.

You and Jim Crow can go to the moon and stay.

We are every where. We are doctors, lawyers, teachers, truck drivers and more. Blacks have helped build this nation. Look at who invented so many of the things that we use now. Look up black inventors. You need to learn how to love. You are very sad in deed. We celebrate the dream that is inside of all people except people like yourself. We are going to keep on dreaming. You can not stop us.

Someone had to do it and he did. You and people like you can not do anything about it. You can not do nothing about it. You can only talk and from what you all are saying, you all are sad, sad , and sad.

THEN MOVE NORTH ..
There are plenty of white men that did lots of things for our COUNTRY not just for a select few but we dont get days off and month long celebrations for them . Heck , we dont even get the day off or month long event for the FIRST pres., Washington .. Or how about Columbus who discovered America .. I could go on & on ...
