I am a good friend of Lenny's and a bunch of us decided that we should raise money for Lenny and his family. It is called LENNY"S PENNYS, where people can donate any spare change they might have to help raise money.
Yesterday was the first day we started. By the end of the day, we raised $334.18. This is an in school dontaion we are doing.

I never really knew Lenny, but i heard he was nice. i am so sorry for him and his family. I hope he is Ok. Like Brittany Abreu said in another letter, my school, Oldfield middle school, is having a donation for Lenny called Lenny's Penny's. That is an amazing accomplishment raising that much money.

It was so hard to watching. I saw it with my own eyes. Lenny was my best friend. We skated together and went to town together. I just can't believe he is at the hospital.

I've LOVED LENNY for EVER, although our engagement was BROKEN off when we were in our early 20's, leaving me with a BROKEN HEART. He ALWAYS had MANY friends, and lived LIFE to the FULLEST. My PRAYERS are with his son...and an other family that he might have left behind. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU LENNY...

A sad story indeed, and one reason I gave up riding years ago. It's just too dangerous, especially on crowded Long Island. Even with the bike's headlight on, it's still difficult for a motorist to judge the speed of the bike. Looking at the damage to the car it seems the bike was really moving.Assuming everyone was obeying the laws since no citations were issued, think about this: when we get into our cars they are equipped with seat belts and other restraints (air-bags, padded interiors etc). We can't wave our arms out the windows or stick our feet on the ground at stop lights. We're not exposed to debris from passing trucks which could distract us. All this in the interest of providing safety for us and our passengers. I see the air-bags were deployed in this instance. If the father and son had been in a car, this probably would have been a fender bender with seatbelt contusions. I don't see how motorcycles can be considered legal. As the old saying goes, "It doesn't matter if the rock hits the pitcher or the pitcher hits the rock, the pitcher gets broken"

Has anyone heard how Lenny Jr. is doing? When he was transported to H. Hosp. then to S.C.H., things looked grim. I lost my information source once he was transported to SCH.

i never knew lenny but I feel REALLY bad for him. I know I would be brokenhearted losing my Dad that way. I don't know how he's doing, but from what I've heard, he's only just making it through each day. I'm praying for you, Lenny!!!

I knew Lenny since 1st grade. I haven't seen him since I left N.Y. in 97' but i remember he was a good guy. He loved riding motorcycles. It's a shame it cost him his life. Its a tragic end for a classmate to go so soon in life. Best wishes and condolences for his family.

hi noelle we learned about lenny from my brother brian heard it on 1010wins radio, we haven't seen lenny in yrs we never even met lenny jr, we are so bumbed out even though we don't seen lenny this brings back all the fun memories of him again and it is just so hard to beleive ther was no obit in the paper but im sure the family was just to busy and consumed with the little lenny to even think of anything else but we talked to fred and he found out the service was at grants in brentwood on sunday i don't know if mr or mrs lamb are still alive if so this was a terrible thing for them to go through so very very sad lenny was and excellent driver i remember going up to hunter mt back in the 80's on the back of his kawaski he was a very good driver so im just so sad about people who don't or didn't know him wasting negative energy posting bad things about him. motorcycles are fun yes they are dangerous yes but cars do not see them on the road and some people just don't like them so they may have had a bad experience with a biker and think all bikers are like that well not lenny!
i see you are in jacksonville now?? well im sorry this type of thing brings old friends together we are all too young to be loosing friends this way! this is our third friend on a bike from long island in 5 yrs that died there i moved to nc 9 yrs ago you could not pay me to move back too dam crowded and nasty people on the road, everybody is in a rush to get to the next traffic light. i don't miss that area, i hope lenny will rest in peace and little lenny my prayers are with you you don't know me but i know your dad since 1975 in high school we all hung out in the same group! i knew your gandma and grand pa and your aunt and uncle you get well !
