He probably ate a bunch of drugs so the cops wouldn't find them. Famous last words "But wait a minute, now I'm gonna die. My Bad!'

Too bad he was not chased and arrested in Nassau County. They would have taken him to Kathleen house for dinner. She would have given him a "talkin' to" and a list of social service numbers to call.

As usual Newsday does not give the whole story.

SCPD Press release:
"He attempted to flee on foot but was caught by the officers. A violent struggle ensued during which Lazo attempted to grab an officer’s gun. He was ultimately handcuffed and a substantial quantity of crack and cocaine packaged for street sale was recovered."

By checking public websites I found out a man by the same name was issued a desk appearance ticket for marijuana possession on April 11, 2008 (which was the previous day).

Also online I found out a man by the same name spent time in the NYS Department of Corrections for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree (felony drug charge).

For those posters out there that are interested, you can read the SCPD's press releases on their website.(SCPD will list the description of a suspect, which Newsday refuses to)

The state website has links to state court information and state correctional inmates.

If the media does not do the homework, someone has to get the facts. We all know Newsday's response would be they do not have confirmation of the facts I have listed, but when has that ever stopped them before?

I am sure internal affairs are investigating this incident thoroughly and dilligently working hard to back up the officers versions of events that had transpired prior to this man demise. Dead men tell no tales.

As much as it's a shame when anyone dies before their time, there is a simple solution. DON'T SELL DRUGS YOU LOSER! Illegals who are willing to work make a living and send money home. I can't believe any citizen willing to work has to sell drugs. It's just an excuse for being lazy. And regarding the "I'M DA CUZ'IN" either your a phony piece of crap or you need to go back to school. Your an insult to people who weren't able to get an education for valid reasons.

So I have thought long and hard and I can honestly say that I've never sold crack cocaine. Nor have I ever been in involved in a physical altercation with police, let alone grabbing for their firearm. So with that being said, I am glad that I qualify, in your book, to state the following:
If you live like a crackhead, you need to expect to die like one. How much could you have cared about him if you just stood by and watched him sell drugs and display violence? You should be ashamed of yourself, as should the rest of your mangey family. Is there now an illegitimate child without a father? Chances are high.
I am willing to bet you and all 37 of your siblings have already retained an attorney. I think that the cops that he fought should be able to sue your family for producing such a disgrace of a man.

If you guys knew this kid at all then you wouldn't be saying this stuff. I knew him personally, and yes things could've been done differently, but you did not know him. He would have done anything for anyone, and the fact that you are all saying this is pure ignorance. It is never pretty when someone dies, be it natural or not, lets not make things worse. This is a public place, and I know family and friends don't want to be reading these comments after a death. Please be kind, if not, then just don't say anything.

There will be justice.....The police will not be getting away with this, kenny was beaten so badly they had to stich his lip back to his face for christ sake, he had the imprint of a police baton across is forehead and cheek....this man was a victim of police brutality!!!!!! They hand cuffed kenny and beat him to death and there will be justice!!!!!!! the police are here to protect and serve not capture and murder unarmed civilians!!!!!!

P.s. Just to add to your facts he was hand cuffed, beaten, denied of a phone call, denied his right to be brought to the hospital, and after he passed out, police brought him to the hospital and he was PRONOUNCED DEAD ON ARRIVAL!!!!!!!! THERE WILL BE JUSTICE!!!!!!!
