I'm proud of my brother for posting this map our father had drawn. It is a great example the great talent our father had. Other drawings of his include subjects of the local area which he found to have great intrest. I believe the Greenlawn Historic society has copies of some of his work. It is also my understanding that our father was on the committee which decided the mascot for the joining areas of Centerport and Greenlawn into the school district Harborfields. The Tornado was to be a symbol of strong movement. Very likely a rare choice for its time, and to this day. Thank you George, and Thank You Daddy for passing so much good along to us.

As time goes on, and as time grows old, so does many aspects of our lives. I cherish the time when Greenlawn was more simple, probably more simple than when I was a kid growing up here. As hard as it was for us growing up here, we were able to enjoy some of the little things that this little town had to provided.(I.G.) Friendlys ENDLESS cups of coffee, what a way to spend hours with friends on a cold winters day, after shoveling snow. Nothing like a bunch of young kids walking outta that place, we so often got kicked outta of, wired on coffee. With the hussle and bussle of which seems to be main stream today. The Town of Greenlawn still has the charm of what those days used to be. But they only remain in a period in my life that is no longer there. The drawing That I posted was a tribute to some one who was
lively, talented, funny, smart,gi ving and some times unforgivable. The drawing displays that simple life that is a root of our heritage and our foundation that will never be forgotten. Thanks Pete for noticing, and how are ya?
