PETER J. KLEIN, GERALDO RIVERA AND WABC RADIO CELEBRATE THE JUNE 3RD LIFE’S WORC GOLF TOURNEY
Peter J. Klein, CFA, a Huntington resident, will be the guest of honor at the LIFE’S WORC Annual Golf Classic to be held Monday, June 3rd at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, New Jersey. LIFE’S WORC ( WWW.LIFESWORC.ORG
) is headquartered in Garden City and was established 42 years ago by Victoria Schneps, a newspaper publisher in the Borough of Queens, with help from broadcast journalist Geraldo Rivera, originally from West Babylon. This non-profit agency takes care of some 1400 people with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, and autism. It employs more than 700 people, and operates a network of some 36 group residences along with fourteen non-residential programs in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk.
“We are thrilled that this June 3rd event is being greatly enhanced over and above its past success, through the partnership and support of WABC Radio (770 AM), a 50,000 watt broadcast outlet covering New York City and the tri-state metro region,” explains Matthew Zebatto, the agency’s Assistant Executive Director. Zebatto credits Geraldo Rivera, one of WABC’s weekday broadcast talents with facilitating this influential broadcast outlet’s endorsement.“Geraldo has been a faithful participant at past LIFE’S WORC golf outings, so this motivated WABC’s sponsorship when they recognized how passionate he has been for our organization,” Zebatto describes.“Everyone is excited about this new momentum that Geraldo Rivera, WABC Radio, and Peter Klein will bring to June 3rd.”
He is a member of The Huntington Bay Club. Peter Klein and his wife, Irene, are the parents of three children.
