I think she found her calling to be a weather forecaster.

I also want everyone to know her mom didnt take her door to door in a storm.weather was just fine and when it started to rain they where heading back home. i dont know what state you live in but our state when it begins to rain it does NOT mean it going to storm!!!! her family is going thru a great heartache and sure doesnt need any negitive comments. instead they need everyones support and prayers. my heart goes out to the entire family.

Unless they have time to read this forum, I doubt our prayers or negativity will ever reach them. And I also have not heard she had died, please post the link where you've heard that. I have looked and looked, and every new website says her heartbeat was restored.

And it says right with this title "girl struck and injured by lightning while selling soupon books DOOR TO DOOR".

Oh my God. That poor darling little girl. What a horrible tragedy and a freak incident to occur. The poor mother. This is an unconsolable situation.

That is horrible. Makes you wonder why such horrible things happen to such young, innocent children.

Tragic news. Having grown up in that area, and contrary to the insensitive comments made earlier on this forum,{Samantha8701: "Unless they have time to read this forum, I doubt our prayers or negativity will ever reach them."}, more people than you may first realize were deeply affected by this tragedy. Martin, Tennessee is a small town and a close community where everyone pretty well knows everyone else. The "coupons" that Madison was selling was a school-related fundraiser. Her mother had to perform CPR on the child once Madison was randomly stuck by the lightening. Madison was an altruistic little girl who was a joy to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.

Lightning kills Martin girl by WENDY ISOM

Eleven-year-old Madison Nicole Fagan melted hearts with her smile.
Now, there is collective heartbreak in the Martin community over the tragic death of the beloved sixth grader known for her bright smile and helpful spirit.
Madison died Saturday at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis, a week after being struck by lightning Sept. 10. At the time, she was selling coupon books for her school.
The sixth-grader and daughter of Mark and Lisa Sharpe Fagan had just stepped off a porch in the Mount Pelia community of Weakley County when lightning struck her. She is survived by her parents and her brother, Drew, and a host of family and friends.
"It's just such a tragedy. It was barely sprinkling rain. It (the lightning) just came out of nowhere," said Sandra Robbins, a distant cousin to Madison and former principal at Martin Primary School, where Madison attended school from kindergarten through second grade.
The last time Robbins saw Madison was at the Soybean Festival. When Madison spotted Robbins in the crowd, "she ran to me and hugged me."
Madison had always been an affectionate child, Robbins said. When Madison was a student at Martin Primary School, it didn't matter how many times in a day that Robbins saw her, "she would run to hug me.
"The only word I can think of to describe her is angelic," Robbins said. "She loved everyone and she treated all children equally."
Madison was a good student, who was always willing to help other students who were struggling, Robbins said. In addition to being a good student, "Madison was quite an athlete," Robbins said, adding that she played softball and basketball. She was a member of the Lady Panther Basketball Team at Martin Middle School.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Martin. Funeral services for Madison will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist.
Principal Nate Holmes of Martin Middle School said students and faculty observed a moment of silence in remembrance of Madison Monday morning.
Holmes said students are adjusting as well as they can, but said the child's loss affects not only the people at the school, but the community at large.
"We are trying our best to provide help for any child who needs it," said Keith Unger, school counselor at Martin Middle School. "We are meeting among ourselves to try to figure out some of the ways to provide a tribute."
Unger said he will remember Madison as a "kind, gentle, very innocent child who all the kids looked up to.
"A wonderful kid, wonderful family, terrible loss," Unger said.
April Fishel of Greenfield, Madison's fourth-grade teacher at Martin Elementary School, said Madison was a standout in class and, "had a million-dollar-smile. She was just a doll.
"I can remember her standing at my desk saying,'Miss April, Miss April, what can I do for you? She was always helpful," Fishel said. "She was the kid who makes teaching worthwhile."
Teresa Ross was Madison's principal at Martin Elementary, and she shared similar sentiments Monday of Madison.
"She was just an outstanding young lady," Ross said. "She was just a great little girl, just such a role model," Ross said.
As a fifth grader, Ross said Madison was a member of the Student Council and served as a school news reporter.
Rebecca Bates Drewry, Madison's fifth-grade teacher at Martin Elementary School, selected Madison and her friend to be reporters for the school. Drewry said it was clear to her that Madison spread a very important message to her peers through her daily living.
"Madison's sparkling eyes, uplifting smile and bubbly personality showed others that Jesus lived in her heart. She touched my life on a daily basis," Drewry said.

I AGREE IM A FIRE FIGHTER FROM CHICAGO AND I THINK SHE IS RIGHT THIS WAS A SAD DAY FOR HER FAMELY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN AND FOR YOU PEOPLE TO BE MAKING UP LIES AND POSTING YOUR STUPID OPPINIONS ITS NOT MAKING IT BETTER FOR HER FAMILEY AND HER FRIENDS SO BEFORE YOU START MAKING UP LIES LEARN THE TRUE STORY AND INSTEAD OF POSTING COMMMENTS ON HERE LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN DOIN POST SOMETHING NICE FOR THE FAMILEY OF THE LOST ONE THINK IF IT WAS YOUR KID. SO FOR THIS LITTLE GURLS FAMILEY I WISH THE BEST OF LUCK TO RECOVER FROM A LOSS OF A LOVED ONE AND TO SAY SHE WILL BE MISSED AND NOT FORGOTTEN

Hey maddi!! i love u soo much and i know ur looking down on us with a smile! Everyone misses you and its been really hard for us but we're pulling through!!..Actually the coupons was for her basketball team and i am a member of that basketball team!! I also played on her softball team!! She was an AWSOME player. She play catcher and third base! We have played basketball and softball TOGETHER as long as we could stand!! We were really close friends and a couple of nights before she got struck she went with me to the soybean festival!! She left her tennis shoes at my house and i still have them (to this day)!!! I LOVED HER SOO MUCH!! The week after she had got struck me and about 5 of her CLOSEST friends were not able to eat luch the rest of the week!!! We were torn to peices!! So just thought i'd let everybody know that it was coupons for her basketball team and right before every game we pray for her to watch over us!! O and her mother DID NOT do CPR on her it was the man that she was selling coupons to!! her mother was waiting in the car for her!! SOO i was a really close friend inftact probably her closest friend she had but she had ALOT of other friends! Alot of the basketball players would skip class to go to the counselor and sometimes to the library to make HUGE banners for her!! It was like our heart was just ripped out!! At least she spent the night with me two nights before and we had THE BEST TIME EVER!! i loved her SOO much!!! Ms.Lisa and Mr.Mark and little Drew i'm praying for ya'll and the whole family!! We love ya'll soo much!!
