Dogs have a right to live just like you. And if you don't like the way it looks then donate money to help them get it cleaned up or better yet go donate some time to clean it up. There are just a few that helps down there we could always use help and not only that there has been several and I do mean several digs adopted out to good homes. Some are picked up by puppy rescue and carried up north and adopted out. So basically what I am saying is if you don't like the way this are do something to help change it......

To the ones that was running down the shelter. Shame on you! People like you probably kick dogs and hurt small children. If you don't like the way it looks then volunteer. We always welcome the help. People like you want to sit back and bitch, moan and groan, but not get off your ass and do anything. The shelter down there operates from donations and fundraising. We get no help from grants or anything. everything we have has been donated and we have had to patch and do the best we can. this weekend alone we picked 12 adult dogs and 8 puppies dumped on the side of the road to starve or get run over. Also, had 3 dumped at the shelter. For all I know some of them were yours. I believe that one day you will be paid back for the way you act towards animals. God created them also and we as a race domesticated them so it is our responsibilty to care for them. Maybe one day you will be dumped someplce to starve. We couldn't be so lucky. As far as shooting our dogs, it will be a cold day in hel beforethat hppen. We will get every animal activist group and shelter around to get involved first. For all the animal haters like you, there is ten animal lovers.

You aholes who want to complain have no idea how much time and money, those who take care of this shelter have to give of themselves. They don't necessarily like to spend every Sunday aft. working at the shelter when they could be napping and they don't necessarily like going every day to feed and water. They don't really like taking money out of their own pockets to buy food and supplies for the animals but when they have depleted the donations, that is exactly what they have to do. They could be using the money they spend for things they would like to have but the dogs have to be cared for so they do whatever it takes. More of you deadbeats should take a lesson from these shelter workers and help out instead of bitching about things that you are unwilling to help change and make things better for the dogs.

the question still has not been answered; where are the dogs? have they been moved; found homes; instead of bickering use your literacy for something positive!!!

There is a special place in Hell for people who are cruel to animals. I have gotten two of my dogs from them and also helped when I could. My dogs are my babies. They are like children to me. I wish you people that want to bitch about a good thing would just screw off. WAY TO GO KATHI, TABI AND THE OTHERS WHO VOLUNTEER!!!!!

Our dogs are still there at trhe present time. We moved some of the pens back under the trees for the shade. Some were directly in the sun and even tarps did not help. We will be moving within 100 days to a new location out by the old city dump. tThe city is donating a piece of land so we can relocate. Of course, no one out there wants us either. But there is no zoning laws or even leash laws to prevent us from moving. We would prefer to not to move, but the choice is out of our hands. Us and our dogs are stuck in the middle. We just want a place for our dogs to be safe and happy until they are adopted. We have alot of hard work ahead of us, but I know that helping these dogs are the right thing to do and I sleep at night.

Also, to sharp shooter and shootem, what is your life really like. A person with your evil thoughts and actions will answer for your sins one day and I know I won't be there to see you spend eternity burning in hell.

I'm the Executive Admin, 4 the Shelter. Alot of ppl put dogs down. I grew up on the farm where if a animal was suffering the men of the family would put one down with a bullet. YES I HAVE DONE IT! No I didn't want too. I put my best coonhound down because of heartworms. I buried him in the dresden bottom near a tree we shot 6 coons out of one nite. There is nothing wrong with these dogs we are helping. Other than unwanted. Some we try to save if they are sick. But I will not let one suffer without hope. Funny thing is I have had pure breeds. And they were good dogs. But I have had mutts that were just as good a dog. As far as ppl running their mouths. Its a free country. BUT Don't let me catch anyone trying to shoot one of my shelter dogs. I have heard a few say they were going to do. I have no problem standing in front of judge moore. Paying a fine and doing the time in weakley co jail. For protecting them. IF! there is anyone that feels the way I do. And would like to help. Contact Karin' 4 Kritters on facebook.

True - your message did not say anything about shooting dogs - so maybe next time you should choose a less violent name than "sharpshooter" - which some people may take to mean that either you are one and perhaps practice on dogs or you wish you were one so that you could harm dogs at the shelter. You never know what people may read into things posted here on Topix - however innocent you intended your post to be.
