Update:

A Greeneville man was killed in an accident around 9:00 this morning on West Allens Bridge Road, near the Asheville Highway intersection.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Kelly Cutshall Jr.

According to a report by Trooper David Good with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Cutshall was traveling east on West Allens Bridge Road when he lost control while negotiating a curve.

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, went through the ditch line, struck a driveway culvert and went airborne.

The vehicle then reportedly struck a utility pole and hit a parked truck, ejecting Cutshall.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the accident.

I do not like how the how the Greeneville sun posted "The use of safety belts would have made a difference in the outcome of the crash, Good said in the report."

No one knows the day or time, only God knows that. I do not know if JR was ready to go or not, but I do believe that if it was his time to go whether he had a seat belt on or not, he still would have left this world.

JR was a good fellow, I really hate this for his family and friends. May God be with you in this time of need. I know this accident has left many people hurting, torn, and confused. Remember everything happens for a reason, we may not know why now, but the end result will be great.

Luckily, the official reports don't factor in superstitions or religious beliefs. The fact is, the use of a seat belt would have made a difference between life and death. That is not up for debate.

I wasn't there so I don't know, but more than likely being ejected from the vehicle he died on impact. I'm sure the doctors, nurses and EMTs did all they could. It's not a good day when a patient is lost especially a "kid".

Im glad they said it. Its a reminder to everybody to wear your safety belt. Whether it would have saved him, I dont know. But because he died, the message was printed, some young person will read it and always wear their seatbelt, therefor Kelly has saved somebody else's life by leaving this world the way her did. Thank you Kelly. I will NEVER leave home without wearing my safety belt again...ever.
