I was driving thru Baileyton on I81 and remembered the Lillelid murders. Looked it up to read a little more and it was weird how yesterday was the day it happened.

Family of four were carjacked at a rest stop by 6 teens aged 14-20 and were shot in rural Greene County. Father and mother died instantly and daughter died next day at hospital. Two year old son survived but is blind and disabled. Teens were caught trying to cross into Mexico in Arizona. Brought to GC and tried for murder. All guilty all serving life with no parole.

I did the street view on Google maps and lined it up with a picture from the Greeneville Sun from 2007 and couldn't believe that there is not a marker of some type there. Maybe someone should put up three small crosses or something.

Shit, I'd thought it was the day the music died...."So bye bye miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry. Them good ole boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye singing 'This'll be the day that I die'"
