I can assure you the customer is not always right. It sounds good in theory, but many times the customer is demanding, unknowledgeable, and demeaning. I've been involved in customer service for many, many years (not at Lowes) and it is unbelieveable how much abuse is heaped on someone who is trying to be helpful and do a good job. The worst offenders are the ones who are trying to get something for nothing, or trying to skirt the policy (no proof of purchase, return period). They start off aggressive, and then demand to speak to a manager when they don't get their way and expect that manager to overrule the people that they have trained to do the job. Here's a little hint, when you belittle and bully someone who is trying to work for a living and then demand a manager, you're just pissing off the manager. If you already know it all, why even ask somebody else? Courtesy goes a long way. Most customer service people will jump through hoops to help a nice person.

I absolutely agree. It makes me mad when I have to deal with the ignorant and rude people. All I want to do is do my job and get on with my day. Stop being cheap people! The people who work in the customer service area are trained to know the policy and what needs to be done. Do not go up there cussin some person out to just because you want free stuff! I would also like to add that no one cares about your $1,000 that you spent in the last month there. It is a BIG HOME IMPROVEMENT store!!! Everyone spends alot of money building things! So go complain elsewhere!! Moral of the story....be nice to the worker and your shopping(returning and complaining) experience will be much better.

I do all my building needs shopping at lowes.most of the time I really don't need help,I am just looking for future building projects but it seems every person that works in lowes that even comes close in my direction will ask if I need help with anything.they sometimes can get on my nerves cause they are alot of them and they all ask the same thing.I have never had anyone ask if I need help with anything that couldnt help me when I did need questions answered,or if they couldn't answer they would call someone that could to come by.I have spent sevral thousands there and really sure I am happy with everything about lowes,I even burt a hole in the line of a new pressure washer I bought there and they were trying to give me a new one,hell it was my fault and I told them that.still they tried,thanks lowes,you guys are great.

Obviously you have not priced material at Greeneville Builders as they are substantially higher than Lowes....they should load everything you purchase.
