Mark Eades..... Hands down ,no question about it. Yes BJ Solomon was an INCREDIBLE guitarist, and a HUGE loss to this town and the music industry, but i still have to go with Mark on this one!!

Thanks for the mention above,"hellyea".That being said I'd like to mention a couple oldschoolers you may or may nota heard of...Guy "Pepe" Pealer plays lap steel like he invented it.Actually he did build his own.He plays with a band called "The Country Classics",you can catch em at Lord's acre sales and various church events all over east tn...Gar Cutshall's a ripper...Rex Seay of Toby Jugg fame can play slide maybe better than Warren Haynes;Greene county's Billy Gibbons...John Brown smokes nuff said...Last but not least;Eades has always been my inspiration. All these guys are my friends, peers and mentors.I love every one of em.

Guitar hero is the worst thing to happen to music in a LONG time. and its evident when someone says they know how to play guitar, and when you go to seem play, the plug up guitar hero. kids would rather play guitar hero than learn to play a real guitar. Oh the decline of the GUITAR GODS has begun. Soon there will no "Mark Eades" level players around this town. Hopefully not within my lifetime though.
And Mark has my vote as well.......LONG LIVE SCULL SOUP!!! oop oop eep eep op op ork ork,,,,,and around we GO!!!!!

I'm telling you...You can't beat Phyllis. She is the best....Ethan is her Nephew and he can play anything. He is awesome on a banjo too and gives guitar lessons. Yes Theresa is good too...her and Phyllis are cousins. Gar is a great player too. He and Phyllis made a record once.
