Dr.Sen cares more about his patients than any other Dr. He stays after hours going through test results for his patients . God has give him the wisdom and knowledge to help people. Ive known him since 1999 He has doctored several of my family members including me . I wouldnt recommend any other cancer doctor. 2 of my family members had another local doctor he acted like they was to far gone for treaments and to formal not down to earth but snobby. I think a cancer patient ought to be told of the truth about their condition and all of the options and left up to them and their families to decide if they want treatment. I dont need an insurance company or doctor to depress me and tell me theirs know use . I still ought to have option even if it is to late. Dr Sen is not snobby but down to earth and makes you feel comfortable and important,he cares

I have lost a sister that was being treated by Dr.Sen ,a grandmother and grandfather they too died of different types of cancer.,but they loved Dr.Sen and recommended him highly. I had 2 aunts that had Dr. Patel. they also died one lasted about a year and the other maybe 2 after their [diagnosis]. I might have spelled that wrong.Everyone is entilted to thier opinion. I do know my sister if she was still alive wouldnt trade Dr.Sen for another cancer doctor, and I trust him with my life to. My family Dr. treated me for 2 years and couldnt find the problem but he did. AND if you didnt like him why didnt you get a second opinion from another cancer Dr. and go somewhere else to be treated. He has always if when in question about my treatment called other Dr,s advice like vanderbilt. But nomatter who you go to if its your time to go the doctor can only offer you comfort and sometimes recommend hospice like my sisters case on the last. He can only treat you so far then its up to God. when He calls not even the best surgeon in the US will do you any good. Know one will change my opinion of Dr.Sen and his staff their the best and Greeneville is lucky to have them.

I meant no one would change my opinion of him and his staff . My words run together sometimes and Im just learning how to type, and use this computer.Greeneville is still lucky and blessed to have them , if you dont like them stay away from them.,and go somewhere else its your choice. He dont make anyone be his patient, as far as Im concerned its a privilege and the nurses are always nice and try to help in any way.

Charges recently DROPPED against Dr. Sen. Anyone who knows him AT ALL knows he would never endanger his patients. Anyone who knows his wife knows she would not risk the business.
The charges against his wife will be dropped as well, you will see. The Gov't wanted to put Sen in the same boat as Kincaid, and they are failing. Kincaid was guilty but Sen is not. Sen & his wife were unaware that the drugs were misbranded.
All drugs were tested and WERE in fact the correct drugs, so patients and families need not worry.

Shame on you who condemn people without knowing the facts.

How could they not know the drugs were misbranded when they had foreign labels on them that the nurses couldn't even read???

The post was referring to the felonies dropped against Dr Sen. You will wait and see; Sen and his wife are innocent.

He didn't actually steal any money from medicare -- the "stealing" is the fact that he was reimbursed for drugs that were labeled wrong (but that he did not know about). The drugs were the correct actual medicines, just not up to some federal labeling regulations. The service was actually provided; any "fraud" was not true stealing as in no one actually lost money, except perhaps that the drug company did not pay its taxes.

GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL)- Dr. A.K. Sen and his wife Patricia were found guilty of introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce.
The Sens were convicted on counts 1-29 of an 83 count indictment. All those counts were misdemeanors. The Sens were not convicted of any felonies.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for April 30.
Below is an earlier post for this story.
The jury in the case of a Greeneville cancer doctor accused of using misbranded drugs has reached a verdict.
Dr. A.K. Sen and his wife Patricia rejected a plea agreement earlier this month.
The couple is accused of buying $3 million worth of unapproved, misbranded cancer drugs and giving them to patients at East Tennessee Cancer and Blood Center in Greeneville.
The trial of the Sens began last week. A verdict is expected to be announced soon.

You need to convince the jury of this. Obviously he and his wife couldn't convince them. If the feds arrest you, there is more than likely a 98% chance that you are guilty. They are very thorough in their investigations. Somebody at that office knew all of the sudden they were saving millions on drugs. You can believe what you want.
You must not be very familiar with the corruption of the federal government. They have practically infinite resources and practically zero accountability. I was in the court room for the Sen case when the lead federal investigator admitted to lying and having zero evidence of the Sens' knowing they were receiving unapproved drugs. Yet they charged them.
The government never expected to have to prove the felonies because they thought that the Sens would be intimidated and plead guilty. When it came to trial they had no evidence of knowledge and it showed. The only reason the Sens were convicted of misdemeanors is because the law is unfair and antiquated (has not been used since 1943) and does not require any knowledge, I.E., "you received it, you're guilty." I would not be one bit surprised if it is reversed on appeal.

You people that are saying that Dr Sen is not a good doctor, you all are a joke. All you see in this is the fact that you had some family memeber pass away(sorry for that) and think that because he wasn't using the correct meds you all will be able to sue him. Guess what? It isn't the meds that killed your friends and family members...it was the CANCER! Sorry to sound blunt and mean, but it's the truth! And if these families are going to try and sue him for that, I think they are PATHETIC! Don't use a family members death to try and get some money just because of something you have heard...I am sure if your friends or family was going to them, it was per their choice and I don't think they would want any of this happening!! HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BLESS!!

Just to clarify, he WAS using the correct meds, just that they did not have the right label on them (showing that the drug company paid its taxes). Sen however did NOT know this and neither did anyone else at his office. The real criminal is the drug company that sold them the drugs. But just to repeat, EVERY PATIENT DID RECEIVE THE RIGHT DRUGS, just they were not the NAME BRAND drugs. It came out in trial that every patient responded the way they were expected to so nothing looked amiss.- someone who was in the courtroom

If I understand you correctly, the doctor is smart enough to be a medical oncologist, but not smart enough to recognize counterfeit drugs. Correct?

1. The drugs were not counterfeit. They were real drugs, just the European versions of the US drugs. 2. The difference between the two is minute, we are talking small print on the labels of vials. 3. Neither Dr Sen nor his wife ever even saw the drugs, because the nurses would receive the packages and unpack them, put them in the refrigerator, and administer them to patients. Sen himself just writes orders he does not actually handle the drugs himself. 4. Dr Sen had no reason ever to be suspicious because the nurses never told him anything was wrong and the patients responded to the drugs the way he expected them to. 5. Patricia Sen only ordered US versions of drugs, and as she did not look at them when they came in she never knew she was receiving something different. 6. Never make assumptions.--- from someone who was in the courtroom.
