There is a place for you and your family to eat that I'm sure has all the style and moral stance that you are looking for and I believe that place is called home. If your exausted from a day of judging and standing on your soap box have one of those delightful kid's whip you up somthing. Maybe if your feeling a little crazy grab ya bucket of chicken on your way home.

We do eat at home when we are not running the roads making sure our kids and their friends are able to get to their school events on time. And "somtimes" our delightful kids do whip us up "somthing" !! And it's good !!

Hey volsfan! 1) my family is none of your business. 2) the fact that you want tell strangers on the web about your high achieving children pretty well proves that you are exactly the type of person I called you out as being. "entitled because you are a parent!" fyi, there are plenty of sit-down, non-fast food restaurants in this town that you can take your "high achievers". More non-alcohol serving restaurants here than in most of the free world! I can only assume you haven't ventured too far from here or you'd know that! So yes, GET A LIFE & quit trying to tell the rest of the world how to live! Last I checked, this is still America!

Ps volsfan, I don't know watchdog. Don't know why you called watchdog hateful. I didn't read anything in his or her post that was impolite. As far as me being hateful toward you, that's the one & only thing you've posted correctly! I don't have a high tolerance for idiots and you are an IDIOT!

I am SO glad to be on your "hot button" !! I'm not bossing the rest of the world around just because I have kids, but my family - including my non-screaming, non-bratty teenage children, who have won numerous academic and athletic awards, deserve to be able to eat at places that don't serve their food in a wrapper !! Just because we have morals doesn't mean we should be looked down upon !! I think you and "Watchdog" are probably the same person. There is no way that much rage, hatred and negativity could be contained in just one person ! It must take both of your egos to let it all out ! And, by the way, I DO have a life that I very much enjoy because of my family. Do you even have a family or did you run them off with your sweet disposition ? YOU need to get a life !!
I didn't use rage! I'm not that other guy either! I just stated the city law on selling "boos" in Greeneville, I drove by Apple Bees last night and there were too many people in the building! LOL Most were young kids aroung adult Men acting spirited in their drink.
I think you are standing alone in your cry to allow laws to be avoided when it comes to adult places. My father would tell me that it is time to be a man and do the right thing.
Just curious

You could tell all of this as well as count the number of people inside by simply "driving by"? Impressive....

If you have a low tolerance for idiots, then how do you live with yourself ?! Your Username says it all - you have a negative opinion towards everyone ! I am only an observer who uses this forum to voice MY opinion, which is my right as a free American. You know - freedom of speech. If we disagree with each other, that is both of our rights. I stated my opinion and was attacked. I will no longer waste my time and energy with you. I am not surrendering or saying I agree with you, I'm just being the better person and dropping it. Good riddance and God bless !

Hey Volsfan aka “Morality Police” you just keep getting more comical! Did you seriously mention freedom of speech? This just keeps getting better and better!

Here is a lesson in freedom for you!

1) Restaurants have the right to conduct business as they see fit as long as they are within the confines of the law. It is the restaurant owner’s choice as to whether or not alcohol is on their menu. It isn’t a requirement that they run things within the confines of your moral standards!

2) Individuals (who are of age) have the right to patronize alcohol serving restaurants and bars if they so choose.

3) People like you have to right to eat elsewhere if you don’t like the way a particular establishment operates!

You said I looked down on you for having morals. Not at all! Your morals are just that: YOURS! Not everyone else’s! I look down on you for trying to tell others how to live and actually suggesting legislation for it. Think about it! You actually wrote that we should bring back prohibition for the sake of your children being able to eat at Applebee’s on Friday night! Somehow I highly doubt those “intelligent, high achievers” of yours are going to grow up feeling deprived because you kept the out of an adult establishment as children!

People like you are exactly what is wrong with this country today. Everyone wants to tell everyone else how they should think, how they should live, what they should drive, what they should eat and etc. You get my meaning! You do have a right to freedom of speech and SO DO I! I have the right to tell you that I think you are a BUSY BODY and a MORON! I also have the right to tell you to BUTT OUT of everyone else’s BUSINESS!

I say bring back prohibition then ! Heaven forbid if a family with young children wants to eat there on a Friday or Saturday night !
The media puts enough CRAP in kid's heads (it's cool to drink or hook up for a one night stand). It's a shame families with morals can't go somewhere like that without feeling uncomfortable. My money is just as good as the drunk's money. In the long run, mine will probably last longer !
HMMMMMM! These are your words quoted here! Looks like you’re the one who looked down your nose at others first! A little hypocritical, don’t you think?
It doesn’t matter if you stop posting but say you haven’t “surrendered”! I’ve already won and you know it! So, run away now and boss the people you are entitled to boss: Your OWN SELF and YOUR OWN FAMILY! As for the rest of us I think we will survive without your thought and action legislation! Have a nice life!

I’m rolling on the floor! Could someone please enlighten me as to why we should care? Or better yet, why someone would be ignorant enough to post this thinking others would care? Ha Ha Ha Ha!

Hey guys, I’m a vegetarian and I don’t allow my family to eat meat! Since I don’t think it’s moral to eat meat, you shouldn’t eat it either! I don't always have time to cook so the restaurants should be made to stop serving meat. I don’t want my kids to think it’s cool to eat hamburgers! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I doubt that volsfan will get the point of the joke but at least the rest of us free thinkers will get a giggle!!!!!

So now that's over with, back to the original topic. The place of business known as the Hideaway, that contributes nothing to this community, but trouble. And to answer your questions, no I've never had a DUI(it's called responsibility) and have never set foot in the place(probably catch something ajax wouldn't take off by opening the door). I just know the type of people(skanks) that frequent the place.

Well how do you know what kind of people go there? Are you suggesting something illegal is happening there? If so, fill us in.

NO not implying anything at all. I had some guys that worked for me that used to frequent the place, they were the typical crowd they said. You know two yellow teeth, jail house tats, still dresses like they're in the 80's, mullets.... you get the picture. Good ole white trash.

Limits:
Liquor sales have: one parking per every two seats.
A handicap for every 25 cars.
And one parking spot for every 4 workers.
“Most of these bar eateries have 20 workers each” per shift.

5 parking for workers
4 handicaps
With 280 occupancy 140 for customers
Applebee’s blocking off 5 for Drive- up pick-ups

154 totals needed

Applebee’s has 70 parking places
So if there are cars parked in the yard and the right - a- way of the state road , then Applebee’s parking capacity is 84 cars plus over their tax and business permits. Applebee’s is not paying all their permit taxes that other restaurants have to pay. This is totally dishonest, fraud, unfair, and you want to take your kids there? I don’t trust you,(I don’t trust you because you don’t mind eating at an obvious dishonest place) that is a joke, but some might not get it! LOL I laugh for you but I shed a small tear for your children.

There is one other restaurant that is well past their legal capacity, which opened and then built on to their building without enlarging their parking lot and is parking on other people’s land. Can anyone guess who it is?

So, is it your contention that all the bars in Greene County should shut their doors or what? Or is it just this bar? You did call Donnie Shelton a scum bag so I'm just curious if it is a personal bone to pick with Donnie or do you feel this way about all the bars?

Pretty much just the hideaway, since they shut the state line down already. I've been into other bars, and just the reputation and the patrons of the hideaway, is too much. All the time trouble at this spot.
