They're are laying off again. Some of the jobs have been moved to Nashville. Others are for people who have 30 or more years there, think they figured out that letting them go will save the state money!!!

We have more than a few. The person who is over my building has 47 years. There is a bunch more in the office building.

Wish I had 47 years, I wouldn't have to be ask or told to leave. But remember, most of the staff that have enormous amt of years have no other life and see no other life for themselves outside of gv. Kinda sad in a way because they have given their life to gv. If what you saying is that these staff are being terminated, it will bring exactly to the forefront what the governor meant to do when he distroyed civil sevice. No one who works for TN state has job security anymore. Grevience won't save a job. Retirement is not as good for new staff coming in. While alot took advantage of the system, there are much more that didn't, haven't. I expect more benefits will continue to be taken away. All Jmo.

It probably will along with other benefits like annual and sick time decreases. I pulled out of tsea because they no longer seem to have the employees best interest @ heart.

I cut mine off after we lost civil rights. They pretty much just turned their heads and let Nashville take them. The president of TSEA at GVDC is one that could retire. 40+ years.

Gvdc is getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. You can thank our ass Haslam and the bitch brightwell. I would recommend staying far away from that titanic. It's sinking quickly.

Isn't it funny that gvdc campaigned for Hawk against Yokley. Yet it has done no good, even with a super majority republican control and our rep having over 10 years experience. Sad, republicans cutting there own. Makes you wonder.

I know who your father is and he's a good guy. You can't listen to people on here. Half of them talk through their azz!

Well now, considering the name you post under, aren't you showing respect for the people that pay your father's salary? Not!
I agree that he is a good man tho.

Her job was moved to Nashville but she is now on sick leave I believe so that froze that position at gvdc. I can't say as I blame her either. I'll be using all my sick time before I retire too.
