That's a bunch of crap. When jimmy was in office we had 5.00$ gallons gas and many gas stations did not have gas because of the Iranian conflict. However I would take carter any day over this worthless Muslim president we have in office today.

Gas was in fact around 65 cents however because of Mr Carter's absolute failure as president,(and arguably worst ever) interest rates were a record and mind blowing 21.5 percent. Now those were the good ole days!

That's true, but if you had money in the bank you sure did draw good interest on it back then. Just so you know, I was as broke then as I am now.

Yeah release.. I recall needing a new car so badly, but if I remember correctly, the interest rate was 12%.... even when I bought my first house in the mid 80's... our interest rate was 10%.. but we thought that was good compared to what it was before. lol Having two small kids..being young and starting out on a job.. it was rough. I didn't have much money in the bank then either. lol

Jimmy Carter advanced an energy policy during his term that would have stopped all of your bitching. The gas lines were during the Nixon administration by the way. Ignorance is no excuse, unless you vote Republican. Like they say; "if you vote Republican you are either rich or ignorant." There are many ignorant people in these parts!

NC TN..... just like all the Democrats.. you pick and choose. I was not talking about the oil embargo of '73.. A lot of that was brought on due to OPEC being p.o. because of our support of Israel.. no, the lines under Carter were mostly because of the Iranians.. our hostages, the Shah having to leave the country and because, just like Obama, the world saw that we had a goose-egg as a President... I did not have any problem with the lines in '73, but I DID in '79. Maybe because I lived in a oil-producing state at that time it didn't affect me as much. Shrugs. I don't know but I don't remember having any problems during the embargo.

I agree Israel has been some friend almost all the Wars of he past few years and the current and past Gas prices being expensive can all be blamed on them as a state that does their own thing that seldom is a good thing for America . We should make room near salt lake city for them and say you can come here or become a US territory under our rule or face the Arabs on your own .

Oh, so you are picking and choosing the lines under Carter, not Nixon. Are you a Democrat? You must be since you are picking and choosing "just like all Democrats".

Why don't you reread my post again and see if you can understand it... I didn't have a problem in '73 getting gas. I DID in '79 and was old enough to understand that it was in big part to Jimmy Carter's ineptness and lack of leadership, sorta like the turd we have in the WH now, except Obama KNOWS that the Keystone pipeline (and all the rigs he shut down in the gulf for good) would help our energy problems. So for that, Obama is a bigger ass clown than Carter ever was. Carter was just out of his league- he was too nice, whereas Obama seems determined to destroy (his words transform) America. So, it wasn't picking and choosing.. it was relaying my personal experience with oil problems. Today- I just paid $3.55 a gallon.. that's just great...
