This is REALLY me, talking about myself on topix where everyone can see it... and laugh their fugging arses off or even vent their anger and insecurities upon the person that is ME>..

WEll lets see here... may I introduce myself? yes... I will.

Chris is tha name they gave me, took twenty one trips round the sun since I was uh baby, and Greeneville,TN is the ground plot where God laid me.

About me ? amongst many things... I love MUSIC... HIPPY AT HEART(with the 60s and 70s classic rock), also dig that 70s punk, and 80s indie, new wave and pop, also 90s alt, and rap... some techno too... thats my main stuff but I also like anything that sounds good. I like to play guitar though I haven't been able to acheive employment so I can't buy a new one.. I dabble with the keyboards a bit... and drums were always quite fascinating...

I love reading a lot. Spirituality, philosophy, paranormal, and even yeah(though I'm a Christian and renounce withcraft and sorcery due to Deuteronomy 18 9 through 12) I have had an interest in the Occult and other religions, "pagan", tribal, shamanistic spirituality... exc. I love to write. Philosophy, poetry, humor, raps, songs... I'm just now beginning to harness my skill of writing.

I am interested in the scientific fields of psychology, neurology, astronomy, astrobiology, pharmacology... I intened to pursue a agree in psychology possibly to become a counseler for people who suffer from drug addictions, mental illness(such as schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety disorders, ocd, ptsd, abandonment issues and depression.

I am a very friendly person, very loyal to those who step into my life, though I am a bit shy I am self diagnosed social anxiety, feel free to google that and understand me more, lol...(im not bipolar but that seem a bit manic, right? you know... people wanting to find out stuff about me? thats a bit... granduer right?... oh sorry mental illlness joke.) lol...

I support legalization of Marijuana for medicinal, spiritual, and recreational purposes, though I do not smoke it because I am in a state where it is illegal... so yeah I'm not incriminating myself.. lol...

I am beating a long feat of social anxiety, depression, and trying to come out of my shell and enjoy my life now...

but yeah that's me... well at least as far as you know.. lol. peace, love and blessingss. Chris McMahon.

I've taken effexor, I like it... it's an snri. i like the norepineherine reuptake inhibiting effect it has of giving me energy. BUt it also boost serotonin and gives you calmness.... I mite consider switching to it, instead of taking my combination of prozac and welbutrin.

I personally love prozac... it's not stimulating like Effexor... but after a few weeks on it my SA decreases, any remnants of ocd that may be in my psyche dissapear... plus welbutrin, that's what I use for energy, a DNRI, dopamine, norepinepherine re uptake inhibitor, its kinda "speedy" if you will, gives me energy, helps me feel motivated, feel pleasure again(depression numbs the senses) and helps my focus with the mild add i've got...

people do not realize how much of their thoughts, feelings, and behavior are influenced by the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, nor epinepherine.

When you take a drug, all it does is alter the levels of a certain neurotransmitter and effects the parts of the brain that are controlled by that neurotransmitter... like amphetamine causes an increase in dopamine and adrenaline, which governs the focus part of the brain, thus giving better focus... I could go on forever, I'm a pharm geek but I'll digress here lol...

I've tried all the SSRI, really didn't help any. Tried Wellbutrin, didn't help SA, but loved the motivation it gave me. Effexor killed the SA, it's a miracle drug for me, except it killed sex drive also.

Chris why are you taking Prozac and Wellbutrin at the same time? If you're physician prescribed them that way I'd be interested to know his reasoning. Let an old guy who shares your interest give you some school/career advise. Get a BSW for your undergrad with plans toward an MSW. Then you can do clinical internships and apply for testing toward becoming an LCSW. The reasons I reccomend this is because you express the desire to work with people. Also there's the all important matter of obtaining employment. Psychology undergrads are a dime a dozen and you'll be lucky to find any employment in the field. I left the therapy field in the late 90s earning just over $50,000 as an LCSW. Then the closest school was UT, however ETSU now has an MSW program. It's a great field in which to work and can be very fulfilling. Good luck to you!

Well I chose to take that combo on my own under the logic that prozac has been (in my experience) to lessen my social anxiety and obsessing thinking( ie worrying, anxiety)... and welbutrin helps my focus and energy.. the physical part of my depression.

I thought it was a synergetic combo, like a home made effexor if you will? lol... idk seemed like a good idea! but i may be mistaken...

I disagree with most of what you say on here, if in fact you're the guy that posts with random letter capitalization. Is that you?
