What are your thoughts on the bill being proposed by a TN legislator that would keep our state on daylight savings time year-round?

...I mean besides the obvious thought, "Is this really the best use of our legislators' time when the whole state and country are going down the toilet?"

No solutions to any really pressing problems like jobs, the economy, the price of food and or gas, but this vital bill will be voted on tomorrow last I heard. In a more perfect world it might be something to sit around mull over, but this is not a perfect world, country or state. I can think of a dozen other bills that might actually do the people of the state some good, this is not one of them.

Crazy! Why would we want to be an hour ahead of EST? Do we really want it to be dark at 8:30am in the winter? It is insane, like we really need an extra hour of daylight (until 6pm) when it is ten degrees outside. Let the Tennessee legislature turn the clock back to 1850 like they really want to.

I think when we spring forward an hour in March, that should be that. I hate the gain an hour, loose an hour. :/

Bristol Tn would be off by 1 hr from Bristol Va right across the street. What a mess scheduling to meet up with people for lunch, business appointments, shopping hours, etc. It's bad enough when you go to Nashville occasionally & have to deal with time change in nearby towns. The whole region needs to be on board but you will always have issues around the cut-off line areas I guess.

We won't be an hour ahead of Eastern time but when they Fall back we will be on the same time.

I don't like DST...would rather stay on Standard Time all year like it used to be. Why does anyone need bright sunshine at 9:00 pm ? Me, I'm trying to sleep.

I thought the point of this bill was to keep the entire state of TN in the same time zone. It won't affect Bristol Va or Bristol TN. We won't notice the difference.

Everyone west of Crossville would.
