Motorcycle wreck on asheville highway

As a motorcycle crash survivor I find it seriously messed up that you would wish someone would have a wreck. It sounds to me like you need some therapy. I hope the rider in the wreck is ok. People don't pay attention to motorcycles at all. I don't know how many close calls I had where someone just cut me off. Greeneville is the worst town ever for people not staying in their lanes, its rediculous!

To all you sad morons bashing bikes.....not all bikers drive like a bat out of hell and we have just as much right to be on the road as you do and I guarantee that most of us bikers drive a hell of a lot better on our bikes than you do in a car. I was hit last year the exact same way that this guy was. Thankfully I was only going about 35mph when the idiot turned left in front of me. And for you who are wishing death or "greasy spots" on the bikers, KARMA is a bitch. I will ride my bike as long as I can, ain't none of you "biker haters" gonna scare me.

They need designated motorcycle roads like they have bike routes. Put a organ donor bin and a shovel out every other mile.
Maybe we should make special routes for the people who do not want to share the road. Let's call them sidewalks.

Yes it was a guy driving, Jack will be lucky to live through this. If he does he may never walk again. It's something that a man can survive the jungles of Vietnam and have some pill head punk to bring him down back home.

It was the car at fault, I was there within minutes of the wreck. The girl driveing the car (20 something), had a damn cellphone stuck to her head, when SHE turned into the path of the MC, I was told by a witness. The car was searched by the THP, and I think the girls were in the backseat of a THP car when I left, I am not sure of that however. FYI the MC WAS NOT AT FAULT, IN ANY WAY! The girls in the car looked like a couple of pillheads.
I was told by a witness that it was a male driving the vehicle the MC hit. This goes to how classic Greeneville and people not knowing shit.

Prayers go out to the man on the motorcycle & his family. My brother rides & I've seen him near death a couple of times from the same type of accident as this one. The worst one was when a man pulled out of his driveway into his path & he had nowhere to go so he laid the bike down. Had he not been young & strong he probably wouldn't have survived it. I still remember when my parents got the call & we took off to see him & not knowing if he would survive till we got there. He was in another state working several hours away. Needless to say when I started driving I DO pay attention to bikes & I know they can't stop on a dime. A motorcycle rider has a much greater chance of of fatal injuries or serious injuries in an accident even if its not as serious as this one was. I ask on behalf of bikers & their families that everyone please give them respect on the road & watch out for them. They too have a family that loves them & wants them to get home safely.
If you could witness first hand the nightmare my family experienced because a driver "thought he could just go around me" you might pay a little more attention to bikers too.
Thanks & again prayers for the man on the bike & his family.

Drove through the crash scene shortly after it happened;LEO said the MC operator had been flown to the hospital. I drove back through the scene about 3hrs later and the bike was still laying in the road untouched & the car had been moved from one side of the store parking lot to the other. 3hrs seems like an awful long time to investigate. Don't recall that length of cleanup time in an accident without damage to power lines or other infrastructure.

I hope your friend recovers completely, and I hope the car driver has good insurance.
