I think the point is, if you have arms and legs and can walk and function, you should work. Most of these lazy asses on disability should be shot.
Why shoot them? Just disable them so they no longer live a lie. May be more fun as well?

Is Perry Hensley still "disabled"? He is a friend on Facebook and is like 40 or something.
I believe he is. I went to school with him and am a FB friend as well. Last I heard he was disabled. Seems to always be running around alot though.

If David Thompson can get up every morning and go to work, then most anybody else disabled can too. It's a free money cop-out.

"Every month, 14 million people now get a disability check from the government."

Very informational and shocking article.

I get disability because I am not able to work. You shouldn't judge people until you know the whole truth.

My 3rd leg is so big that it interferes with me holding a job, so I had to get on disability. I have to spend most of my time in bed, mainly because my nurses won't let me out of it.

It's a rough life and I hope you don't ever know what it feels like.

I DID WHAT I COULD, THEY WANT THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! HOW IN THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO REPORT WRONG DOERS IF THEY WANT YOU TO PROVIDE A NUMBER?! GOVERNMENT REALLY STINKS HERE! THE HARD WORKERS HERE THAT HAVE TO GET UP AND GO TO WORK ARE PAYING FOR THESE LAZY ASSES TO SIT AND ENJOY THE MONEY! IF THEY WOULD GET OFF THEIR ASSES AND WORK LIKE THE REST OF US, THE ECONOMY WOULD BE IN BETTER SHAPE AND THEY WOULD BE MORE HELP OUT THERE FOR THE ONES THAT NEED IT! I HAVE HEARD THAT THIS GUY TIM S. AND AMANDA S. ARE GETTING DISABILITY AND NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM, MOST EVERYONE IN THE APARTMENTS ARE ON DISABILITY AND NOTHING WRONG, WHY DON'T THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE DO AN EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATION BEFORE THEY GRANT YOU DISABILITY?!

Not sure prostitution would do well in this area. No need to pay for sex with so many bored, drunk, and lacking moral fiber.

I am amazed at the number of people on disability who are perfectly able to work, many of them 50 and under. Is there no shame in sitting at home on your ass all day? Then they and their family will post pictures of them going to the swimming pool, at Dollywood, landscaping the yard, etc. Then on the other hand you see people who are paraplegics or someone with no arms or legs going to work every day.
This disability vermin make me sick!!!
So, in your eyes, a disabled person shouldn't go to the pool or Dollywood? A disabled person doesn't always look disabled, yet some live in pain, day in and day out, all the while smiling. Making a trip to a pool or Dollywood can be very trying for someone who's disabled. Some people who are disabled have children that still deserve to enjoy what childhood has to offer. Should the disabled parent just not take them, because they are disabled? You may see this person acting as if they're having a fantastic time with their family but you have no idea what they are smiling through. Or the fact that they aren't able to leave their house for the next 2 to 3 days because of this outing that they took their kids on. I don't think a true physically disabled person would nor should be diving into pools, jumping off diving boards, or riding rollercoasters but they still have every right to go to the same places everyone else goes to and not be judged for doing so.

Excuse me, but I work with the public and majority of people I see every first of the month on their disability check shopping spree are white males.

Furthermore, I'd like to know how Mexicans made your little list because, as most people know, they are more willing to work than anyone! With less whining and complaining And for less pay!

Blah blah! There are a small number of people as you describe, but for the vast majority of these people their disability is being lazy. I know tons o people who probably could qualify for disability and don't, then you have these lazy asses who can work and choose to ride the system. It's my tax dollars. When we wise up in this country, we'll track these worthless pieces of shit down and beat them until they can't work - give them a reason to draw disability.

While it may be a small number to you, that small number is exactly who I'm referring to, so no need for the blah blah. Everyone on disability should not be put into the same category, as there are "tons of people" who are doing the right thing. You just don't see them everyday because they cant do what others can do everyday. My point being made once again, that when they are out, it doesn't mean its easy, and just because they are at a pool or Dollywood, doesn't mean they aren't truly disabled. I understand yours and other people's aggravation. Just hopeful that those who are judging with a naked eye don't end up in situation such as this. When the tables are turned, hindsight is 20/20
