that is because this "cop killer" has a "good boy"reputation and the town s behind is "dad was mean to him" theory. if i would have killed a cop i surely wouldnt be free on bond, be able to do whatever i want if i were on house arrest and the trial would have long been done with me fried in the chair.

so with that being said...the town i still behind him and cant believe such a GREAT ki would do such a thing and wish him the best of luck in life.

This "kid" wasn't a "cop killer". He killed his father, who just happened to be a cop. Perhaps, if this man had been a father before a cop to his child, this wouldn't have happened? I don't know any of them, but I have several friends who do... And all the stories say the same thing... The trial has been moved so that there will be a more fair trial and judgment of jury.

You're the expert. Right? These are just opinions, so shut your stupid, whiny mouth. Your opinion is just as stupid as anybody else, so get over it.

from what i read he is a "kid" that killed a cop that happened to be his dad. the point is, he kiied a cop. family or not doesnt matter. he knew he did wrond,he trashed the house, he threw the gun in the pond at the park and he initally lied to police before telling the truth.

doing all that gets him house arrest, so he can go to dollywood or whatever vacation spot he deems necessary at the time. but "he was a good kid" and couldnt have done it.

his dad wouldnt give him access to a trust fund...that is no reason to kill him.

again he is a COP KILLER!!!!!

Exactly what is the difference in being a cop killer and a human killer? Are cops not human like us. I personally don't think anybody is more important than anyone else. You may understand after our taxes get to pay for Robbie Morgan's lawsuits .

In the court of public opinion by killing a cop you are killing a can do no wrong hero. Where as if you kill joe average person the court of public opinion is normally well was he a good person? Did he deserve it? And then people feel sorry forme family and that is it. The anger of killing a cop and the publicity behind it normally makes it worse on the killer.
But if the reputation of good kid appears then it doesn't matter.

IMO he should have stayed in jail with the criminals, the due process should have been completed and the death penalty should have been applied. Again that is my opinion.

He's a puss, he shot the dude in his sleep, not like it was self defense.
And everyone defending the puss is sickening like its OK to go up to anyone while they are sleeping and blow their brains out...
Don't care if it was a cop or not the dude was sleeping that in it's self should call for a Sunday
Hanging in front of the court house.

I agree the court looks at it that way. Simple reason is they take care of their own. Killing a judge would also be the same. In reality though, they put their pants on just like you and me. They are no better and no worse. I'm not putting down cops. I have family members that are cops. I just don't think a person should be sentenced more for killing a cop than killing you. I also don't think a crooked cop that gets caught, should get a lighter sentence than any other criminal. It really don't matter what I think though. You're right that's the way it is.
