Agreed. And yes bout pedestrian in the past. But Jenny you sit in your little hole of West Pines...why are not the DA or THP investigator since you know it all??? And no I would not let child try to get on the bus. Hell my kid would be so sore on his ass from getting suspended from the bus he would want to walk to school so some morning air could touch his ass!
I also stated that I wouldn't have allowed my child to attempt to load the bus. As far as the sitting in my hole goes, I'm mobile...so I can post from anywhere. I graciously admit that I don't know it all, but I wish I did. I'm also entitled to an opinion, just like everyone else. All of my information has came from the newspaper. I am currently working on a degree to move into that field, so it won't be a "why don't you", it will be a "when will you". By the way, very classy move starting a thread to me! Could ya not handle the heat? Haha! I'll get to that in a minute.

You are about a worthless stupid bitc!! How can you say that? Do you really think the man done it on purpose?
Honestly you are probably a dead beat that don't work and sits around waitin for a chance to sue to make you some money! To bad it wasn't you thAt was ran over!!!
Wow! There you go! Show everyone how smart you are! Is name calling and false assumptions all you have to run on? Ain't you the mature one! So tuff with your big boy words!
I said numberous times that I do not think he did it on purpose. Read it all again. I don't just sit on my a$$ wishing something would happen so I can sue.....I've never sued anyone. I actually work a full-time job, go to school, and keep up with three kids. I stay busy. Wishing me hit by a bus? Shame shame! There you go with that maturity level again. Sorry if you don't agree with my perspective, but I'm entitled to my opinion. Oh yea.... I have that right too.

This must be another case of mistaken identity. I'm not ignorant, I may disagree with you, but I'm not ignorant.$hit stirrer? No it's not my style. Those who know me will tell you that I'm more of a say it to your face kind of girl. I've never been accused of stirring the pot. So.....you would be wrong.

I'm so glad you folks helped in the investigation .. Oh, you didn't help investigate this? You're kidding? Since ya'll seem to know so damn much and be self-proclaimed experts.. I thought for SURE you were in possession of all the facts and making an educated judgment in this case! Most of ya'll are just plain stupid. that's all I can say. I know ya'll don't like that this happened...neither do I, but to continue to say the same reckless crap over and over is ridiculous and doesn't help at all.

This is still so sad! It almost sickens me to know that this is just going to be let go.
Key points of this article:
1. The sister said her brother was coming before the bus was in motion.
2. The driver proceded forward anyway.
3. He immediately hits something that he thinks is a dog, after he has been told that the brother was coming.
It shouldn't have made a difference wether or not the boy was suspended off the bus, the driver should have been aware of his surroundings. This should have been obvious negligence at the least. I hope this man never is allowed to drive a bus again!
Prayers still go to the family. I can't imagine what you have been through and continue to go through. I have a son who will be twelve this month, and I can't imagine living my life without him beside me. Still so sorry for your loss.
Have YOU taken a moment to imagine this....it was a terrible accident. Have YOU taken a moment to put yourself in the drivers position. Their life died the moment they accidently took anothers. I have pity for YOU....accidents happen Jenny H from Hell.

Being short, he would have been tough to see as he walked right up on the bus. Teach your children to walk out away from the bus so you can be seen. The kid was right up on the bus (not easily seen) and fell underneath.
Fricken mirrors don't show you what is going on under the tires. You don't know what you are talking about. I am in a position where I know exactly what happened. Due to my job, I am not able to divulge how I know or who I am. I do know what happened. Unfortunately, it did happen. There was no negligence. It just happened and there was nothing anyone could do. That is why charges were not placed.
If you are right and the buses don't have a clear view of the front of the bus, then from now on they should. Allowing the death of a child for a five dollar mirror is absolutly ridiculous. I will ask again, how do you know the child fell under the bus, not in front or beside but under the bus? Also if the sister was getting on the bus, how do you not see the other child coming? Why when the sister TOLD the driver her brother was coming did he not take time to locate the child? Ask where is he?
I have seen how some of these bus drivers drive, and it is my understanding this driver had already had an accident due to being unaware, true or false?

You say you know EXACTLy what happened, right? So does your position give you a view of the front of his bus or the drivers statement? Who said he feel under the bus?

Since so many of ya'll are apparently more than competent to drive a school bus, ya'll should get off of the sofa and go out and get a job driving one.. then we can be SURE our kids are totally safe and that ya'll, with your 360 degree vision can prevent this from ever happening again... lol

Good point. As this person said before the child was extremely short. I'm 5' 5 and if I stand directly in front of the bus you can't see me either. So hight shouldn't be a factor in this equation. Not everyone, including children can be 6 foot or taller.

I disagree with you on this. Accidents do happen sometimes no matter how tragic the situation may be.I certainly hope that you or me never have a tragic situation like this, but it is possible. I'm sure the THP done every test imaginable on the driver. I don't know the weather situation that morning, fog, clear, dark, or foggy. If he was drug free, and obviously he was, then I'm certain it was an accident. I'm sure he has suffered a lot through this also. Hope everyone heals from this sad, sad situation. I will add that the childs parents should hold some responsibility for allowing the child to try to enter the bus. Surely they knew he was suspended. I'm not holding anyone at fault though, I'm sure it was an accident.
What I dont get...that lady bus driver is on her way to a hanging... and yes...she should pay the consequences for her actions...while the man that ran over that little boy is off the hook...and I think he too should be held responsible for his actions!!!

I totally agree with you! Both of these cases were accidents. I don't think the lady wrecked on purpose, and I don't think the man maliciously ran the boy over....but in both cases negligence caused accidents. They should both be held liable for their carelessness.

Jenny, why don't you get off Topix and take care of your kids? You are so self righteous and self centered!! Your karma is going to be interesting. It will come back to you, I only wish I could see into the future and see how you will be judged wrongly some day or worse yet, be hit by a bus or hit someone.

I still agree with Jenny. I don't feel either driver did anything on purpose but BOTH accidents were caused by carelessness!!! Both drivers should have to deal with the aftermath. One of them shouldn't be patted on the back and sent back to driving a bus.

The lady bus driver was breaking the law, by going almost 30 mph over the speed limit, with (I think) 39 children on the bus.The man driver was breaking no laws. I don't know if everything has come out about her blood work or not.I'm not going to assume I know everything about both situations, by what I've read in the papers. Both accidents are very bad situations. Hind sight is always 100%.I'm sure if given the chance, both parties involved would have done things much different. I would hate being a bus driver, having the responsibility they face. Good kids and bad kids. I hate it for the kids family, but also hate it for both drivers families. As I stated in an earlier post, according to what I've read. If you have a more conclusive case than the TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL, you can go before the grand jury and present it too them.I'm not sure, if you're familiar with a grand jury, but let me assure you, if you're found not guilty by them, you most definitely are not guilty. I once heard a senator say that a grand jury would indite a potato salad sandwich.
