The new car wash beside Zaxbys uses the twirling contact brushes. I have worked on cars for years and these things will beat a car to death over time and make it look like crap. Also, if a rock gets in the brush, you will have a mess. I don't understand why people use these.

Same with the one by lowes. Looking at it would make you think they handwash. Nope. Drop it off and they take it through an automatic. What a joke.

I agree. I actually went to the new one yesterday, and turned around and left just because of that. I have a new car, and I'm not going to chance jacking up my paint job using those brushes. I was my car basically every week, and an average cost at the new car wash is going to be like $15, so 15*52=$780/year that they won't be getting from me (and I know there are many others that do the same thing and won't use car washes if they use brushes). I'm just dumbfounded that anyone would use those types of car washes.

I started to use it and when I saw that it is not a touchless wash, I moved along. Don't want my car to get the sh!t beat out of it. I heard the story once of someone using one of the car washes with the rotating brushes and their antenna was ripped off and did thousands in damage to the car. Not for me.

well i stopped in one day cause the sign said FREE vaccuum. I had no idea it was for people who washed their cars only cause at that time it didn't say that. Some rude dude walks up to me and says, "you wash your car here today?" i said no not today, he said, "well this is for car washers only" i understand why but it was the way he presented it to me. What a jerk. Totally lost my business completely. Why did he not try to make a sell. i could have been his best customer but will NEVER be his customer now! his loss

I have tried the new car wash and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The Classic Car Wash beside of Wal-Mart still gets my vote. They usually have someone working there on site and are very helpful. They have the touchless wash, so no scratches.

Why in the Hell would someone spend $400k on a damn car wash business when they could bring in a bar? A restaurant? Anything??? We need more car washes, tanning beds, Subways, and car washes, right? Greenville...

This true about the new car wash. It uses the old style brushes that turn at a high rpm. This is ruff on your paint and if you have a dark color vehicle you will start to see swirl marks after several trips through. Also if your car has a pin stripe it will start to peel off. They used this years ago and the damage to car finishes drove the start of the touchless car wash.
