I remember going to church and the emphasis wasn't money talk every Sunday. Maybe churches need to go back to being churches not country clubs. Maybe if they would focus on reaching people for GOD not gyms, ball teams, going on foreign trips, golf, dinners, etc. they wouldn't need all this money. Churches won't reach across the street to a neighbor in need, but they will reach across the world so they can tell everybody where they went. What happened to the days when you pay a preacher unlike now you have a contract and a benifit package. Maybe the way churches are being operated today is part of the devil blinding people in the last days. By what I have seen in most churches today I am sure if JESUS came in he would probably be kicked out for being dressed poorly or not having the right connections or college degree. Just food for thought, maybe I'm wrong.

Jesus never dressed poorly his robe was sewed with no seams and was fought over by the solders after his death. Seamless robe was made to order and very rare. At his birth three smart men came with gold and highly valuable other gifts to make sure Jesus has what was expected for him to have. Jesus never was considered an outcast and when he met men they called him teacher. The trees in the bible which didnít bear gifts were cursed what more would be asked of a man like you if God expects even a tree to feed him? Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain,`Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
In your heart you are telling God you donít want to give any more God will answer your prayers.
in the book of Acts a man and a wife lied about their gifts to the church and they both fell dead::As told at the beginning of Acts chapter 5 Ananias and Sapphira, following Barnabas' example but not willing to give all, also sold their land but withheld a portion of the sales. Ananias presented his donation to Peter claiming that it was the entire amount. Peter replied, "Why is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit?" Peter pointed out that Ananias was in control of the money and could give or keep it as he saw fit, but that he had withheld it from Peter and lied about it, and stated that Ananias had not only lied to Peter, but also to God. Ananias died on the spot and was carried out. As a result, everyone who heard the incident feared the Lord. Three hours after Ananias' death his wife told the same lie and also fell dead.
In your heart you are telling God you have given just as much as needed God will answer your prayers.
It has not been that long ago the priest would live at a different church memberís home for a week or month at a time eating and drinking food prepared by the family. Do we give at least our share of food and drink to the priest these modern days?
Look around your house and see your god what is it: pictures, tv, furniture, the house its self, too many cars, are you a glut, hermit, crowd pleaser,,, 10% of all that stuff God asks for. 10% and that is all. Donít worry about giving 20% just 10% and if everyone gave 10% it would be more than enough to keep the church active. Donít kill the church of love hate the thieves that dwell with in her walls and pray God shows more mercy and grace on todayís church thieves than Ananias and Sapphira received.

Our lets give the preachers a raise, so he will stay. If he was truely doing God's work he would stay for free. I understand they have to live to but God will provide.$800 a wk is real good, wish I could make that.

Thanks rev., churches around here need to show some interest in people around here. We have more than enough problems in this country and quit being so concerned about other countries.

They have to help other countries. It would be too hard to hide what they really do with most of it here in front of everybody. Lol

It's funny, in order for "God" to be on your side and help, you got to pay him? Wow, what's "God" going to do with money? All of these so called churches are only made up so that these lazy preachers or whatever they may be called to pay their bills, not to help us. What are they telling us, we have to pay to join this church,we have to pay before our prayers are answered? These huge "churches" are not churches, they're a place where members go to hang out and a place you can drop your kids off for someone else to watch. With all I hear is preachers, fathers, priests, what ever having sexual behavior toward kids, I wouldn't trust one of them!

They need to do like some of the smaller communities stop askin for money people may not have and take some of these guys and gals out of jail let them do the work that needs doing , if the need something built then it won't cost anything except maybe a good home cooked meal to at least say thank you . And people would be surprised how good of work that will be done !!!
