Holy crap! Anyone else see wreck at Daytona? Pray for everyone in stands..

15 injured fans hospitalized--one with head trauma. One driver also hospitalized. No detailed report as of this time. Believe it or not, could have been worse. Sparse crowd. Catch fence held up against the impact of the car, and no fuel splashed into the stands (possiblity of fire). Pray, indeed!

There were 28 fans injured, 14 sent to hospitals, the driver [Arnett] was sent to the hospital with injuries that occurred from an earlier accident, He'll be held over night do to bruising of the chest area.

Actually there were 2 woman in the race, I think her name is Joanna Long, not quite sure, she was involved in the last wreck but not the cause of it.

Even though watching a parade of motor vehicles ride around in a circle seems like some form of crude entertainment to ignorant rednecks, I suppose that it fills a void at certain times of the year when it is not feasible to shoot at defenseless animals in the woods, or attend a cockfight, or let a pack of wild dogs chase a poor raccoon up a tree.
