Since I'll get on here and bitch and complain when some restaurant doesn't meet my standards, I want to give credit where credit is due. I FINALLY, FINALLY stopped at this restaurant on the way home from JC yesterday. To say the food was delicious was an understatement. It tasted like it was freshly prepared and freshly cooked. I was very happy and impressed. The only complaint I had was for some reason, they had put taco sauce in the salsa.. it gave it a weird taste.. you could tell that's what was in there. But, everything else was totally delicious. I love Monterrey, but this restaurant has them beat. Sorry. My husband also agreed.

Salsas is alot better than Monterreys. Hugh portions and great service. Do not care much for their salsa though, too much selentro for my taste but the food is really good.

We also ate there last night. It is the only place we will drive out of town just to eat. Have never been disappointed! Nothing in Greeneville even compares.

Do they give you a lot of food? Is it pretty cheap?
I don't know what you are asking for sure. IT's not Farmer's Daughter or a buffet line, but I had half of my meal to bring home. My husband and I ate there for $23.00 before tip. I thought it was reasonable.

There is a place on the way to Johnson City in Jonesborough, located on right hand side going up. It's called Vega's Fiesta & is very good. Where is the place you mentioned?

Doesn't matter where it is. It has a good rating from this man.

I thought the one was named Little Vega's, but it may/probably is Vega's Fiesta.. sorry, I'm not really that familiar with the name.. it IS on the right kinda in the middle of nowhere before you get to Jonesborough.. it's built some sort of outdoor cantina, party area behind it.. are we thinking of the same restaurant? lol I may have just gotten the name wrong..It doesn't open until 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays, so don't go up there early. lol

;-) LMAO I actually thought it was VEGAS (not Vega's) Fiesta for years! LOL It's the same place. I also enjoyed the bottled Mexican soft drinks sold near the register.

Vegas fiesta is good unfortunalty i dont go very often bc its a lil far to drive. I usually just stick to monterays and ocasional trips to cancun. The salsas rest is not good in my oppinion.
